He hasn't been up to scratch for a while and apparently Mcleish is to have a talk with Brendan about getting him more game time. Surely Brendan should be picking the team based on who's on form. That being said I'd like to see him and ed both start tonight if moussa isn't fully fit with mousse coming on for Leigh 2nd half

Struggle to remember the last time he actually looked decent.

    Probably Astana last season.

He looked to be blowing out his * in the scond half. Needs a good run in the team to get his form back, but he'll find it difficult with Moussa and Eddy ahead of him.

He'll be fine now. He always snatches at things a bit if he's been out for a while. Usually once he gets his goal he settles down. We are lucky to have him. Of course Moussa and Eddie overall are better players but we are lucky to have Griff too

If he scores 100 goals against Suduva on Thursday I'd be quietly confident of us going through.

Depending on how the defence does, obviously.

He's thinking too much about the 100. Once he'* it he'll score a bucket more but I feel it'll take a few games yet. Once he'* it the pressure will ease and he'll go onto scoring with ease again.

LEIGH GRIFFITHS insists Celtic don’t deserve to be in the Champions League after their dire defending against AEK.

Celts missed out on the £40million group stages after losing 2-1 at the home of the Greek champions.

Brendan Rodgers’ side can still make it into the Europa League but striker Griff said: “We dominated the ball going forward and on another night we’d have scored three or four.

“But it’s about defending, and if we can’t do that properly then we don’t deserve to be in the Champions League.

“If we can’t defend simple crosses and do what we’ve done for the past two years, we don’t deserve to be there. It was two basic errors which meant we conceded two goals.

“If we defend properly we’d have been in the play-off.”

Griffiths insists Celts will bounce back from the Euro disappointment.

He added: “The flak drives you on. If people want to doubt us it’s fine. People have doubted us for two seasons in terms of how far we could go.

“We’ve proved everyone wrong. We’ve won everything domestically and this season we’re going for the clean sweep again.”

Defender Dedryck Boyata will rejoin the Hoops squad on Monday after refusing to play against AEK.

Griffiths added: “We’ll welcome Dedryck back into the group next week. The manager and everyone above us will deal with the matter internally. As players, we just focus on the job in hand.

“There will be no resentment. Odsonne missed the game on Tuesday as well and there’s no resentment there. We need to move on and forget about it.

“We’ve got a massive game on Thursday and if Dedryck comes back in we’ll welcome him back.

“I’ve never experienced anything similar but the manager has dealt with it before at the highest level.

“We just work hard every day and try to win football matches.”

Griffiths scored in the 3-1 win over Partick Thistle and is now one strike away from 100 goals for Celts.

He added: “I’ll take any goal regardless of whether it’s a tap in or a 30-yard screamer.

“I got the goal early for 99 and was thinking if I get one more chance I’ll stick it away, but it wasn’t to be.

“But it’s driving me on to get the 100 so I’m looking forward to Thursday and if I get a chance I’m confident I’ll take it. Hopefully I’ll get there eventually.

“Moussa is just back from injury and the gaffer’s easing him back in. It’s great to see him out there fully fit.

“As a striker, I want to be selfish but you need your best players fit so it’s great to have him back.”
