If you're talking about the 5 players whose absence is felt the most then, in no particular order:

    Brown
    Rogic
    Sinclair
    Sviatchenko
    Forrest

That's what I'd go for right now. Tierney is a fantastic player for us but Izzy has done a decent enough job. We can live without Tierney.

Take out Brown and our midfield is significantly weaker. Take out Rogic and we don't have that player who can link midfield and attack at a high level, plus he scores a fair amount of goals. Take out Sinclair and we lose a lot of pace and movement in attack - and goals. Take out Erik and the centre of defence looks much more vulnerable. Take out Forrest and it's a similar situation to Sinclair, plus Forrest does a power of defensive work now.

For those who are in love.....
I'd have to say Broony and Rogic Sean..

Take out Dembele and Griff slots in, and vice versa..
Take out KT and Izzy steps in..
Take out Lustig and Gamboa steps in..
Take out Erik and Lustig, Kolo or someone steps in, same with Simunovic..
Take out Armstrong and Bitton or McGregor steps in. Even Henderson..
Take out Shooders and Roberts comes in..
Take out Sinclair and Shooders effectively goes across, or third choice Gms..

Although not all of those are as good as what goes out, it still doesn't hamper us as badly or noticeably, as when Broony or Rogic are missing, in my opinion..

Could throw Gordon in just now as well..

Could argue Sinclair on the left but genuinely think Shooders has been good whenever he's been stuck left in Sinclair's absence. Sinclair is a great player by the way and no slight..

Definitely agree Broony is our best player this season. Overall he's been our best player for 7 years. I love Virgil, it's always nice when a truly world class player passes through our club.

My only problem with Griffiths and people not choosing him is first of all, people are allowed to pick whoever they want ha! But mostly I really liked Dembele when he was on form and I'm sure he'll get it back soon especially with Brendan and his coaching staff. Right now though I would be surprised if Griffiths didn't start against Newco. Mind you Moussa did score so there could be something there with him and Forrest. I would pick Griff but unlike last year I don't care who the team is because Brendan has gone two game from entering 2017 unbeaten in the league and cup. That is a fantastic achievement and I trust his judgement far more than my own or any other current manager.

Still not going to agree that many players have surpassed Griffiths. He came back from injury and near enough won us 3 games in a row and he's still scoring. As I said though, Glad Moussa is back on the score sheet and also impressed Sinclair got back on it so quickly too. My gut feeling out of all three players is Sinclair is going to score early for some reason. I think he has too much movement and class. Forrst could prove me wrong though and set up Moussa.

Just read your post. I hindsight I think I would have to agree with that if push comes to shove. Broony, Rogic and Gordon are the ones I really would feel gutted the most when they are missing because we don't have suitable replacements. That's why I hope we sign those two midfield positions soon. I'm not in too much of a hurry about Gordon although I guess it's always good to have a decent back up keeper. Seems to be a hard position to fill though.

I won't disagree with anyone when they say tierney is in our best 5 but I find it hard to put in a LB that has pretty decent cover in our most important. As weve done pretty well without them.

Yeah I don't know why I said Tierney must be in it if he's not been playing, injured or not. Izzy has done very well actually but I really am looking forward to KT coming back. I'd love to win the treble and we need everyone for that but the double would do, I'd like the league tied up in April or whenever is soonest.

If I were to swap Tierney out of my top 5 it would have to be for Armstrong. He's put in some very impressive performances and leaves everything out on the pitch.

I'm not going to gloat about that.

I bashed Brown just as bad as some did Griff for years! :56:

I've no problem eating humble pie when it's to the benefit of my team.
