    I'm happy with this.

Hopefully a wee surprise will arrive before the window closes too.

He'll be our top scoring striker at the end of the season without doubt.

If you want to find it you will. You probably don't want to and if you did you would probably interpret it in a skewed way to make it sound like I am talking *.

Pukki didn't shine in Celtic's Champions League matches but at Schalke he was at times excellent both in Bundesliga and the Champions League. Also he's been solid in big international matches for Finland as well as against big clubs with HJK.

Griffiths meanwhile is a League 1 striker with zero experience from higher level. Pukki has shown something (mostly pre-Celtic, I'll admit that), but Griffiths has shown absolutely nothing.

Maybe he'll be okay in the Champions League but I wouldn't bet my money on it. This guy is 23 years old and he's still been playin in League 1, which is actually a very * league. Even Shefki Kuqi destroyed the league two years ago when he played for Oldham.

I hope this guy didn't cost Celtic much, otherwise it's an incredibly stupid and an utterly useless transfer. The only difference it makes is that Celtic might win their SPL games 5-0 in the future instead of 4-0 as they do now. In Europe a League 1 striker is unfortunately worth nothing.

I know the English are blind to the weakness of their own leagues but I hope Celtic fans are aware of the poor quality of the English League One. Being a godlike player there doesn't even mean that the player can deliver it in the Championship, which is still a very * level compared to the standard found in the European competitions.

In Europe I suspect this guy will make as much difference as signing some goal machine from the Estonian league would.

He'll do a good job and won't command huge wages. It's a solid signing.

This is the Leigh Griffiths thread and you want me posting articles of Neil Lennon tearing into Anthony Stokes ? It is a pointless exercise. Every post doesn't have to be accompanied by a list of references backing up every single point.

Oh be serious, every fan we have judges players for more than just their football. People are forever moaning about players appearance, off-field antics, how much we bought them for/pay them. If one of our players rapes somebody, we should sack them immediately whether they're on 50 goals that season or an absolute flop.

Just what we need. Another striker on the cheap. Good to know our main striker is going to be a guy surplus to requirement at a League 1 side.

The difficulty some have over this signing is valid, but if he maintains a straight and narrow path, and wins helps us win some trophies, will folks soften their stance?

    I have.

I don't really care ... he's not a murderer or Wall Street thief ... let's just get on with having him show his stuff on the pitch, and judge him there.

It's definitely reality but. If Ched Evans had been playing for us when he raped that girl, we'd all have judged him on it and ignored that he was our top goalscorer, and we should. There's more to life than football, have to judge the whole man, not just what he does on the pitch.
