Lets hope that is behind him now because we sure as heck need a confident in form Griffiths to hit the goal trail on a regular basis this season. Starting tonight would be most welcome!

I also don't buy this over the top tough love that he singles out Griff with, when he's just off the back of signing him up on a new 4 year deal..

 

It does seem strange no question about that. Maybe things behind the scenes that we don't know about but certainly seems very odd all the same.

 

Whether he was being unfair or not bigging up that wee * over his own player publicly, nah shouldn't be doing that.
I don't think Griff has ever thought he has made it and can just sit back.

He's been in court and has had other issues with his ex and so on, but all of this was before we offered him a 4 year deal within the last week..

Surely if he felt like that, he'd leave the offer off the table for now until Griff was performing how he wanted, in and out of training..

 

Especially when he's been arguably our 3rd striker in line now for 6 month's at least..

 

Well in short lets hope Griffiths plays tonight and bags himself a goal or 2. That would be the best way to sort everything out.

 

Where did he big him up over Leigh? He said he played well against Albania and that’s it.

I don’t think BR see’s it that way, he’s made a good few comments like that and I’ve seen him going backwards since Brendan’s first season.

Rodgers has gave him his contract and isued the challenge to atep up and prove his worth. It’s up to Leigh now.

 

Played well against Suduva and has subsequently been benched the last three games..

 

And do you think Brendan Rodgers doesn’t take the sports science teams advice in regards to Leigh? There’s two players he’s singled out in needing to ‘get themselves fit’.

Jozo and Leigh. I’m tending to think they aren’t looking after themselves properly.

 

But something has changed since BR took over,griff is not the striker he used to be....injury prone for sure and not gatting games due to that and BR not rating him.....so why has he suddenly started missing game through injury....something about him has made him more injury prone...might be his age.....or once he got a injury he will never be free from it.....or is it the club trying to chang him into something he is just not suited to.....who knows.

 

Well it didn't stop him playing Broony through injury recently..

 

When he was being praised off of Rodgers, in his first season, it was the best I’ve seen of him as an all round player.

Since then Brendan’s been saying he needs to sort himself, fitness wise and saying things like that interview there, train better, keep learning, don’t just think you’ve made it.

I’d tend to look at Brendan’s record in developing players and go along with what he thinks.

 

Wee man would be as well packing his bags and doing the off.

Clear as day Rodgers isn't going to give him a sniff, regardless of how much of a dirty lazy shitebag that Edouard is.

Superb. I was convinced he was off when it went in but no chance..

 

Said it a couple of days ago. We're a team in need of goals, and we have a goalscorer who is in need of games.

He has his flaws, but we need him in the team right now.

 

Maybe me saying bigging him up was an exaggeration slightly however he knows what Griff has said about the Scotland set up and BR then coming out and saying what he has kinda cuts the legs out from under Griff, imo that was simply not fair. He has proved his worth Dev think of the forwards we have had at Celtic who haven't scored a 100 goals mate. I honestly don't think BR really rates him nor appreciates him tbh.
