    He can blame the board all he wants but we all know the guy is incapable of scouting players within our budget.

    Bang on the money congerton wanted us to get musonda in summer of 2017... Lawell boys told the board to go for ntcham instead which they did congertin finally got his wish but was a loan in the Jan window hence why Rodger had no idea about the arzani signing as it is a board partnership

    Brendan Rodgers is targeting a summer reunion with Lee Congerton, Celtic’s head of recruitment.

    Congerton is in line to join Rodgers at Leicester ahead of next season and would replace Eduardo Macia, whose contract at the King Power Stadium expires this summer.

    Rodgers has already recruited three members of his former Celtic back-room staff – Chris Davies, Kolo Toure and Glen Driscoll – since his appointment last week and is poised to move for Congerton when the season finishes.

    Congerton, 45, has also worked with Rodgers at Chelsea and is highly rated by the new Leicester manager.

    Macia, Leicester’s current head of recruitment, is expected to leave when his deal runs out. He could pursue a move to Bordeaux.

    Congerton is believed to be keen on moving abroad but Rodgers is ready to offer the Welshman a return to the Premier League. Congerton is under contract at Celtic and Leicester would have to pay compensation.

    Rodgers will also work closely with Jon Rudkin, Leicester’s director of football, whom he has known for nearly 20 years.

    Rudkin was previously a manager of Leicester’s academy teams and came up against Rodgers during his spells at Reading and Chelsea.
