I don’t think Hayes has been that bad. He’a been left isolated all night against a quality player, I’m not expecting him to suddenly be Didier Agathe. It’s up to us to support him more.

Wow, to play so poor and still be in this. Positives, Forests strike and Eddys part in the goal and Julien has been immense at the back. We have been too tentative, looked a bit overawed at times. Maybe going to a back 3 has upset our rhythm. We have gave too many balls away and some of our passing and decision making in the last third has been very poor. Hayes being torn a new one at times by Lazzari, I can see them trying to exploit this in the second half. Forster has been pretty poor also, should have caught a couple and his kicking hasn't found any of our players. As for set pieces, Christie has been wasteful, you send your centre backs up for a corner or free kick, what happens? he hits the first defender. There was maybe a panic in the first half hopefully the goal settles us but they will really come at us at the start of the second half.COYBIG

It’s a shame we can’t keep it tight while we try and feel our way into these types of games. But after first 20 minutes we’ve started looking the better team.

James Forrest has grown so much as a player. When that ball reached him there was not a shred of doubt in my mind he was going to bury it. Beautiful strike.

 

Tidy up some passing, watch that ball over the top. Keep them honest with that high press, at the start we couldn’t get out our half, now they are struggling to get out theirs. Keep them honest and we might just come out this with a positive result!!

They NEED a win so expect all out attack last 20 minutes, that’s when Lennon needs to be smart with counter attacking substitutions.

A few grew into the game after that: Christie, Forrest, Julien, Elyanousi; but that first 20 minutes I was worried. Only Elhamed didn’t look like a rabbit in the headlights.
