Just seen the gaffer said we have missed out on his Targets (plural) that's unacceptable imo

We have mcgregor and rogic vying for that attacking mid position even ntcham can slot in their it was good business to sell Armstrong

That's more down to the manager rather than personnel today would have been a good game to change

27 in the league, a couple in the cups and 10 in Europe.

    Fair amount of gametime there.

Mcgregor position is central he plays * poor when Rodgers plays him out wide mcgregor can play am as can rogic and ntcham can fill out wide better than mcgregor can as for a defensive cm you have broony and Bitton and kouassi can slot in their if they are given more game time especially against sides like Partick I'll always welcome new signings but midfield is not the priority centre back is because boyata needs sold and hendry is to young to start the big games and Gamboa proved today he has use at rb

Can't argue with those stats mate. Would he have been in your 1st 11 for the big games ?

He wouldn't for me so I personally think getting the money we did for a squad player was good business. The money has to be reinvested though. It doesn't have to be spent on the midfield as a priority though.

He played wide left for pretty much the last 6 months of last season and was probably our best player. He prefers to be further up the putch and we are better with him pulling the strings up the field.

There’s a reason Broony’s playing through an injury, we don’t actually have anybody we can trust to replace him.

Definitely good business because he wanted away. We do need strengthened in midfield, Armstrongs the only guy who broke the line and ran beyond. Without him we play jnfront of teams quite a lot.

Also think we desperately need somebody who can give Broony a * rest.

I can see your point about breaking the lines Dev. No sure bout the replacing Brown bit. I always thought he was a bit of a shitebag. Imagine him 'replacing' brown and not been up to it. He would have got exactly the same amount of stick Hendry is currently getting.

I never said it wasn’t? Facts are he can drop back and play a deeper role as well.

We haven’t replaced him or got a CM in.

So you agree we don’t have good enough CM’s to come into the side then.

Glad we can finally agree then. :60:

How the * do we manage to not be able to sign some decent players (defenders) of the back of a double treble and back to back CL qualifications.

The board 75% and the management team 25% have let this happen.

We had Eddy done quick Players sales done quick and a last min free done quick in Izzy.

The board more like Lawwell * about with McGinn and we ended up with egg on our face.

Our manager and board though our defence was good enough to get into the groups even though Stevie * Wonder could see We did not have a quality centre half or right in our team

Rodgers does not get off with this blame, he signed Compper and Hendry who have been nothing short of diabolical. Over paid for both and a waste of money.

He has stuck with Lustig who is past it and so is Gordon.

I really do worry for this season if we don’t bring anyone else in cause the title race will be down to the wire and I can see Rodgers walking if a job comes up down south. If that happens then we can kiss the 9 never mind 10 goodbye and we will end up getting another Ronny in plus give them a lifeline.

I still don't see how Rodgers gets the blame for the defence. Compper was a free and Hendry was £1m - you're always going to end up with dross if your budget is that low.

He's never going to do anything other than praise them in public either. He'll know as well as we do that they should be nowhere near Celtic. But that's Peter Lawwell's Celtic for you!

    Compper was £1m.

That’s £2m all in. Van Dijk cost us £1.5m. Wanyama cost us under a million.

His scouting team he has put in place is definitely to blame.

Hendry was 1.5 million and Compper was 900k.

Both players he wanted. Rodgers came out and said he wanted Hendry.

Of course he wanted him, doesn't mean he was his first choice.

He could have handed Lawell a list of 5 targets with Hendry being fifth choice. We'll never know, but I severely doubt he was his main target to fill that position. Or, he exepected to bring another cb in and Hendry was just a backup, giving him time to improve before becoming more of a starter. Guessing game.
