I usually like the big man, but he took his eye off the game a helluva lot tonight. Marking was shocking.

He’s been like that for a while now, the Livingston game being the worst imo.

No doubt he's had some worrying defensive performances of late..

Hate how he tries to blame everyone else too.

Big man is quality but far from the finished article, which is no surprise for a 21yr old CB.

I know he's always had some iffy moment's here and there and that's natural for a young centre half....but he was so bad today..

Everytime he took the ball forward he was caught or gave it away. Lost his man all night. Kicking it out of play when no even really under pressure..

Livi was bad as well @Gyp Rosetti but I was taken aback at how amateurish and frankly murder his marking/defending was. This was an immaculate big pitch and no gravel dump at the Toni Macaroni..

    He better shape up..

He’s in the middle of his worst patch of form since being a first pick.

He’s muscling through it but there’s no denying he’s been very shaky; out of position, making wrong decisions, looks ponderous and basically just completely not himself.

Aye he was strolling out from the back, the man marking from the sheep helped though. :giggle1: And I still think he’s a defensive midfielder personally.

Nah, he’s defo a CB for me now mate, he’s played there long enough for club and country.

At 21 he’s only going to get better.

Fair enough mate but he defo needs to become more street wise playing back there, because right now he’s struggling and it’s not through him being a bad player.

Has to be a case for a return of Bitton & Jullien at this point. They were solid as * at Ibrox. Need to give it another go.

Disagree with a lot of this gotta say. Yes he’s dropped a level of concentration compared to a few months ago, but he’s a phenomenal player for us. His ability to drive through the middle like he does , eliminates up to 4 players straight away when we are playing against defensive teams. This is priceless as far as I’m concerned, especially domestically which is our bread and butter. He needs to sharpen up though with decision making for sure, especially against the better sides in Europe.

He's going through a rough patch of form just now, I did think we would be crazy to drop him for a wee bit but with Frimpong doing well at RB I wouldn't be against giving El Hamed a chance at CB beside Jullien, Ajer will be back to his best time in time.

Stick with him and CJ for now. Just needs a bit of fine tuning.

Could there be anything in the rumours about Brendan Rodgers wanting him? That would certainly explain his recent form.

With Leicester being tipped in the media to have a chance of sustaining this form and maybe getting a CL slot. it could be a few sleepless nights for us knowing that CL would be on offer, guaranteed. Still think its wrong, but that's for another discussion.

No chance, Ajer is worth 20M plus, Benko went for 15M and has not progressed any, so Ajer plus 10M, thank you very much Brenda.
