Why should we be bothered that it's the biggest league in the world? I thought playing for Celtic would be the pinnacle for somebody who professes to be such a big Celtic fan.

I understand that he'll earn more money but people say that as though he's on buttons here. He would have earned more than 99.9% of other Celtic fans.

I would perhaps feel less bitter if he had stayed for 9 & possibly 10. To come out and say that he's done all he could with us with that achievement on the horizon just doesn't sit well with me.

And yes, I am bitter :56:

Arsenal fans creaming themselves over Tierney's debut. They have some bad eggs in that Arsenal team, some really lazy soft players that give up easy and Tierney will make big difference to that changing room.

One thing that stood out for me was watching Tierney run past some of this lazy * headphone-wearing players who were walking at a snail's pace to the training pitch, and then you see Tierney run past them at the speed of light like some enthusiastic Dog running after a ball to get to training first and then this surprised nervous look on those lazy players faces. I won't be surprised if he's captain of that team within a season, they currently have Xhaka who is awful captain.

I know there's no harm meant in it, but its attitudes like this that will see us become completely irrelevant in terms of European football. Let's sell all of our best players and be happy about it because they get a crack at the BPL ... :39:

I just feel you need to be in the situation to understand it. We all sit behind a keyboard and have no chance to play for Celtic. I totally agree with you about staying for the 10. But its happened, this threads always going to be here and active, so lets just cut the negativity and get behind the lad.

This is one player, who wanted to go to the Prem... We cant force him to stay! Not at one point have I said I wanted all our best players to leave to go the the BPL.
But every time theres a bump, which will be constant from now on in. The same * spilled that was spilled when he left...

We shouldn't be happy that he is leaving, but we should want him to do well it makes our academy look good and allows us to demand higher fees in the future and even could convince players to stay if smaller clubs like Southampton etc. come calling, and we have past players who have made the step up into top 6 teams in the big five leagues without going through those smaller teams first.

It's sort of the same with Rodgers. The guy is an absolute snake and a * of the highest order, but he absolutely bossed it here domestically winning every trophy available. If he had to go down there and fail it's just embarrassing for us and scottish football.

Naw it's no. Only if you are obsessed with what folk down there think. Folk that think * down south are going to greatly change their view of Scottish football are just kidding themselves on imo.

I do want him to do well, obviously I do.

Just find it embarrassing how he is regarded as some sort of legend. I wont be going out my way to be obsessed with every game he plays like I know some are

The likes of Sutton and Thompson for example achieved far more here in my opinion.

This club is far bigger than the likes of Kieran Tierney.

Dunno about the rest of you but pritty sure 30k a week until my early 30s would set me up for life

It’s not good for us further down the line though. The likes of Dembele and Van Dijk doing well pushes the price tag of Tierney up. Tierney doing well means when eventually somecunt goes into Odsonne we’ve another person to point to and the price would be £30m plus.

That's no the bit I bolded mate. I ain't going to be embarrassed no matter how well Tierney, Rodgers and Dembele do. In terms of the prices we will have to see what we get for other players. If they want to leave they will go. I'd say all three of those mentioned were sold for less than they were worth one after another so we will have to wait and see if that changes.
