Discuss Kieran Tierney in the Ex Players area at TalkCeltic.net.
Wayyyyy down the list of priorities. Like almost last on them.
Just brought Izzy in, admittedly had a honking time recently, but he's still decent.
Hayes and McGregor can also fill in and miller is in the works.
Can't see left back being any sort of priority. Not without Izzy being shown the door again. Which I doubt.

It’s really not.. it showed how poor we are without him..
We have 3 RBs and one quality LB.. how does that make sense?
Ffs.. McGregor should never play at LB again.. Hayes is winger..
We expect too much from KT and expect him to play too many games..
Izzy was done when he left.
KT, Izzy, McGregor and Hayes all left back options. One is top class, one is top class backup, one is top class wherever he plays and the other won’t let you down there domestically.
Compare that with the other side...
Who is top class back up? McGregor should never be moved to LB, Izzy is done and Hayes has played there once as a sub.
We will hopefully sign a quality RB too, then we have Lustig, Gamboa, Ralston and maybe the boy Perez..
Only KT is a quality option, if your striving to be a top quality club we shouldn’t need makeshift midfielders at LB and Players who are past their best.. we need quality cover in every position..
Both fullback positions need strengthening RB first then LB, I don’t care in what order as long as we do it in this window. It would be negligent no to.
Izzy is as good a backup as we are going to get. And a singular poor game doesn’t change that.
Goalkeeper, centre half, right back, striker, winger, creative midfielder. Every one of those positions, by far, more important than left back.
The problems at left and right back are incomparable. Lustig is at the end of his Celtic career, Gamboa can’t defend and Ralston is * poor.
I agree we need a 1st choice RB, but Izzy isn’t good back up, it’s not just one game he’s no pace at all anymore..
Well Lads. Sorry i know this is the wrong thread but didnt know where else to put it. Ive 2 relatives coming home from the US and will be here for the Valencia game on the 14th. Me my dad and uncles are all season ticket holders and have got our tickets for the game. What are the chances of piucking another 2 tickets up? Thanks Hail Hail
You're best chance on here is to start a thread in here mate http://www.talkceltic.net/forums/forums/celtic-supporters-info.9/
Can they play CB?.
This for me.
Before the Aberdeen game every * was praising him and rightly so. Saying he slotted in perfectly, gave us a different option bla bla bla. Few weeks later he’s done/*.
He’s perfect back up imo.
Exactly.. One quality left back, 3 back up left back options, absolutely no quality right backs.
If one of the sides needs investment, it's the right side every day of the week.
Both need strengthening, 100%..
Would you be happy going away to Valencia with Izzy at LB or if the league remains tight, two games v the scum.. I certainly wouldn’t..
Even when we were on top at home v Killie and Dundee you can see he lacked pace to get back..
Not at RB, he's a LB.
he should have been sent off , he is and was terrible that day
* you man..
I wouldn't be happy going into Vanelcia, or any big game, without our best left back in KT, but at least we have the one great option. Whoever is likely to be signed as a back up left back is not going to be a particularly high pedigree player.
Our back up LB options have typically been guys like O'Dea, a done Naylor, El Kadourri, Blackman, Blackett and even * like Twardzik and Chalmers - Izzy is far from the worst around.
This is a small club mentality mate, we should have quality options in every position.. I would be interested to know how many games KT has played over the last three seasons without much rest. We will burn him out..
Hopefully he stays fit for the rest of the season, especially for our big games.. and it doesn’t come back to haunt us if we don’t get cover in..
