Brendan is blaming the pitch in his post game interviews.

    Herbalife reselling spice boy.

His hobbies include sun beds, protein shakes and wearing trousers that are too wee with no socks.

Watched it from a few angles and i was ready to condemn the * completely, but the last angle from behind the back throws up an element of doubt that it was malicious.
However, all other angles make my blood boil and i dont accept the, 'we are disciplined' argument.....for me, if the players thought it was reckless and malicious, they would have been all over the *. Their reaction, coupled with that one angle im not sure about makes me think it was an accidental injury! Not convinced though!

Its weird, but when you see a young starlet like KT get hammered, you almost feel it more than if it was A.N. Other player in the team, Hope he is ok.

I have to disagree, a professional footballer does not follow through on a ball that long gone and plant his foot right down an opponent's leg with that much contact by accident. There is a reason his leg is full of cuts and blood. Players train and practise every day, they know how to time a tackle much more precisely than us viewing it, so if we can see it was very late then it means he knew it was very late. He might not have tried to break his leg but he definitely meant to leave a mark on him. Maybe just frustration but still doesn't excuse the dangerous nature of it. A red card was so obvious.

What is frustrating is it seems to be a common theme recently that opponents are allowed to kick us about without fear of a booking. There is a growing concern it might take something bad to happen for people to wake up and notice it getting out of control. This felt horribly like one of those moments.

That's really disappointing that he hasn't slated the guy. Worse that he's made an excuse for him.

Literally just posted at the same time as you in the honest mistake thread.

I'm sure Brendan is privately furious about that tackle, just being diplomatic and not giving the MSM any headlines.

How can he not be right? It's a horrendous tackle.

I hate having to say a bad word against him but maybe you are right and he could have even moaned at the ref privately. I think it would be best to make it public though but in a classy way. Just a wee comment on it and how ridiculous it was. Seeing it happen was like watching ma wee brother getting hit or something, was absolutely raging.
