I'd definitely have him over Brown, probably Bitton too tbh.

Loved Beram, he was so underrated here in his last few seasons. Put in plenty of good performances and seemed to get abuse left, right and centre. He was never as bad as any of our midfield 3 have been this season.

It is definitely us. Look at what Deila has done with players like Forrest and Lustig.

Managed their training programme to keep them match fit for sustained periods of time?

He wasn't the same player for a good while before he left and if I remember correctly there wasn't a huge amount of uproar when he left. Most acknowledged that injuries had * him. I'm glad to see he is doing well now.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing sometimes.

Player of the Season voted by the fans at Brighton. I think the right back Bruno should have won by a mile, but fans tend to vote for midfielders rather than full backs.

When did he learn how to shoot?

When he was at us he'd regularly put them into the top tier and even his goals against ajax and dundee united were both shocking technque. :smiley-laughing002:

Might have something to do with him not getting a game, being * off, usually injured, and us having about 30 midfielders on our books. :smiley-laughing002:

Aye, hindsight is a wonderful thing at times.

Loved him on form but at the time I wasn't overly sad to see him go.

Yup. Which we weren't doing much of before.

You can get most players fit, if treated properly. Remember the whole furore when Mancini (I think) tried to take Bellamy off of his training regime from aome German specialist? He was * before he had that, sprted after it.

Think most of us were the same. I thought he'd come down here and sit on the bench or the treatment table.

    He's kicking * a bit.

He was epic his first season here - loved him. Proper midfield destroyer at times.
    What we desperately need now.

I wanted to keep him but I wasn't overly sad to see him go.

Would have been a perfect player for Ronny as well.

First season or two he was outstanding, arguably our best player.

Same as Emilio, really. Arguably our best players in that first season under Lennon - never the same after injury.

When Deila had not long arrived, it looked like Kayal would get a chance. He was the best player on the park away in Maribor, and started the return leg as well. Taking him off at half time that night for Commons was a mistake, and potentially a costly one. We didn't need to win the game that night, and although we had been poor, Maribor hadn't really threatened. To bring on an attacking player for a holding midfielder when 0-0 is good enough to get us in the group stages was just madness from Deila. I actually think he gave in to pressure from the fans to get Commons on the park. Kayal is exactly the type of player we are lacking in this current team.
