For me it's not so much his height, it's his stature. He is small built as well as small height wise, which means he is easily brushed off the ball. He also really struggled to keep up with the pace of the Rangers boys in the youth cup final. It's not so much him being small, it's about him not being anywhere near his full development physically to be able to compete.

Doesn't matter if we send out 7 chimps and 4 zebras who the heck cares it's a meaningless game. We can afford to throw it and everyone come out of it sound. Just treat it as a training game for some of the younger ones and they will either get a harsh lesson or surprise us all.

After the nonsense they made of Brown on that McDonald, you can bet to * Levein will have his men out to thump Dembele when ever they can.

I'd be inclined to leave him till pre season, but I'm excited to see him in action.

If Dembele gets a game it’ll likely be about 10 minutes, as a sub. No harm in giving him a chance in a meaningless, albeit still competitive, first team match.

    They’ll be playing youth though.

    Nothing to worry about.

KARAMOKO DEMBELE has opened up on his elevation to Celtic’s senior squad.

The Hoops wonderkid is in contention for his debut against Hearts on Sunday after Neil Lennon confirmed today that the 16-year-old was in his plans.

He praised midfielder Olivier Ntcham and former loan ace Timo Weah – axed by Lennon after snubbing the chance to play in the Scottish Cup Final – for welcoming him into the first-team setup.

Dembele told the Celtic View: “It’s good to be in that environment and experience it, because it’ll help me get used to the demands of first-team football and know what to expect.

Getting used to men’s football will take time.

“It’s a big step up and I’m happy to get that experience now, because it means I won’t feel so uncomfortable around it.

“The squad have been really good with me. Olivier Ntcham and Timothy Weah have been great with me during those sessions.

They have talked to me and made me feel welcome.

“I want to have the opportunity to play with the first team so I can prove myself.

If I made my debut with the first team before the end of the season, that would be amazing.

“Training with the first team has helped me learn so much. You can learn something from every one of the players and coaches.”

Certainly getting him some game time would be beneficial, especially as that dirty * Haring won't play, as well as 'Naisy'.

"Meaningless" from our fans when it comes to a Celtic game. Wow. Here I am thinking reserve league games are important and some are downplaying a trophy day game. I hope all of you who say that find a nice place to go or something meaningful to watch on TV on Sunday, Cartoon Network maybe?

Gone out of their way to welcome him to first team training. Good on them.
