Who were our CBs at the time?

 

I’d have rafel scheidt, efe ambrose and Du wei at centre half before jack hendry another of the snakes ludicrous signings along with Benyu, kouassi, commper, de vries, Gamboa etc etc , guy did well with players already there but he signed some dross

 

As I've already said in here it could be Lille are close to matching our valuation, so we are pretty sure it is going to go ahead. Or it's not the fee itself that hasn't been agreed, it's the clauses like the sell on %, how the payments are structured etc they are still in talks over.

It can also be allowed if they want him out the door ASAP (and I'm not suggesting thisis the case) so that once the price is agreed he is gone and we aren't left in a situation, like with the Turnbull deal, where the clubs agree a fee then the player, or agent, drag their heels and it drags on and on.

 

If we could sign a decent replacement in the same week I have no problem selling jozo. My fear is we sell him and don't get a replacement before the window shuts. For me jozo isn't a brilliant defender but he is far from poor. We can do better but I don't want to wait a transfer window or two too find better. If we already have a replacement identified then yes sell. If we don't think we can replace him this window then he needs to be kept

We will find it hard to replace him. Guy's hard as nails and very comfortable on the ball with both feet. If he was more physically imposing he'd be top class.

 

Everything that's wrong with our defence..

Does it every game. Runs up trying to play offside when there's no communication, it's never on and leaving an attacker to slip a through ball in..

He done it last week in Estonia and nearly cost us a draw..

Plays hospital ball's all the time..

Should be out the side and 4th choice centre half. A bombscare big diddy who is a liability in the tackle..

Jullien is far more composed with the little we've seen..

 

I don’t think you’d class McGuire in that category. Don’t know why just get this feeling...

 

I see him a bit like a better Efe Ambrose... he has that in him for sure; but brain farts aside, he can play. I know that's not good enough to be a first choice CB at Celtic; but I don't think he is first choice TBH. I think he's back up to Jullien and Ajer.
Apart from that one moment (which I don't deny), I thought he was really good- by far our best defender. Better than Ajer (who IMO is equally to blame for that brain fart).
Obviously Ajer is just a kid, so it's more acceptable from him, but I really do think Jozo is very decent back up.

 

He injured last night?

Ajer and Jullien the only 2 reliable CB’s we have.

Bitton and Elhamed could step in. Hendry needs to go.

 

Sooner he's sold the better, would love to get £5million for him.

Wouldn't trust him to boil a kettle.

 

Anything over what we paid for him from Lille would be ideal!

 

Brain facts aside. He's full of them..

His passing is 50% hospital ball's..

Don't know how you can blame Ajer for Simunovic. 3 defender's in a line whilst the other starts running off without the jockey..

He done it in Estonia HIS very last game. That must've been Jullien's fault as well..
