That's probably right to he fair. Usually we've seen him at left back and even the odd left wing but against packed defences. Only really gonna see that burst when countering..

He left Tavernier for dead...who's quite quick..

Only problem I had with him yesterday was his celebration! * *! :56:

Scoring to seal the win away at the * pit in a game we were apparently massive underdogs and his runs 10 yards and does a tame as * fist pump! Cmon lad that’s a tops off or a knee slide and jump into the Celtic end! Take the red card.

JONNY Hayes’ introduction to Sunday’s Glasgow derby might not have come until the 84th minute of the match, but his impact was a prominent one. Apart from picking up Celtic’s only yellow card of the game, he also netted the side’s second goal to set the seal on an impressive win at Ibrox.

The Irishman surged forward as Neil Lennon’s side hit their opponents on the counter-attack, latching on to a through ball from fellow substitute, Olivier Ntcham, before slotting the ball home at the second attempt after his first effort had been saved by Allan McGregor.

He immediately headed over to celebrate in front of the 800 jubilant Celtic fans in the stadium, and was soon joined by his delighted team-mates.

“I’ve scored some good goals in big games, but I’ve never scored at Ibrox, so it’s another ground ticked off for me,” Hayes told the Celtic View.

“It was a goal that more or less sealed the game and sealed the three points so, in terms of importance, it’ll be held in high regard. We wanted to come here and put on a performance, which was good, but the most important thing was the three points.”

Hayes was full of his praise for his team-mates’ performance as they dominated the derby, with his goal adding to Odsonne Edouard’s first-half strike. And he was particularly delighted for Neil Lennon and Scott Brown.

“There was a big build-up to the game, more or less from when the fixtures were announced, and a lot of people from outside have spoken about the game,” he said. “They’ve had their opinion on it – it turns out that it was the wrong opinion in most cases – but we’ve had a lot of games before this that we’ve had to focus on.

“We could only really turn our attention to it from Friday, and it was nice to come here and put on a good performance. We were very good defensively and played a lot better than we had done in the two previous games here.

“I’m delighted because Broony proved that he’s still the best midfielder in Scotland by a country mile. He was superb. And I’m delighted for the manager as well.

“It was never going to be easy taking over from Brendan Rodgers, given the amount of trophies he won, but the gaffer’s come in, we’re now in the group stages of the Europa League, we’ve won four games out of four in the league and we’re playing good, attacking football.”

Right now, we got two proper LBs, and both of the newcoming 18 year olds can do a job on the LB position.

At the left wing, we got Johstone, Elyounoussi, sadly, Morgan, and in theory, Sinclair.

I like the guy but I really struggle to see a role for Hayes in the squad from now on.
