    Hail,hail,...
Ivens had 4 good season at KV Mechelen and deserved his transfer to Groningen. Let's say he's a guy U can count on ... he'll always play his games. He's not the guy who will walk on clouds ... good in the air, good tackler .... but to say he'll be a top transfer ?? Have my doubts about. But who would have thought this about Valgaeren ?
Not certain he can add something in at our defence ...but who am I ???

doesn't bode well if our Dutch brothers don't rate him. if he signs, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

Off course we'll give him the benefit of the doubt. He'll not be top class but as I said ...he's a descent defender and he's a regular and steady player.
And ...he's Belgian ...always nice to see a fellow country man in our team.
I remember the good old days with Valgaeren !

if he turns out to be anywhere near the level of big Val, he'll be a success :50:

Nope, he didn't played for the national team. But when U have players like Kompany, Vermaelen, Vertonghen, Van Buyten, Lombaerts ...not easy to get picked. But I mentionned, not the star player but very solid and very regular. I remember when he played for Mechelen in the Belgian premier league, he also picked up a few goals a season. We'll see what it brings.
