Glad to see John Park is finally getting the recognition he deserves.

 

Why is everyone so heart set on us our selling players ! We should have the stability to keep the club running without selling everyone that has a good season. We should only cash in if the deal is right ! Petrov and McGeady stayed for years and we getting tired so 8/9 mill after 6 years service was good business.

Could you imagine we sold Henrik after 2 good seasons !!!!

I agree, my heart sinks when I see another poster harping on about signing some youngster with a sell on value. We really should be buying players to win us the league and start to look at Europe again - 3 seasons is too long for me.

The future and sales and potential will take care of itself. As a fan and season ticket holder, I want our club to be well run , but I will take Trophies in the cupboard over money in the bank any day of the week.

Our own manager has said he wants to sign players with sell on values, but if fans say it they are wrong?

 

Were you not, just the other day, declaring that we should sell Ki to to Generate money? You can't have it both ways.

 

Just makes good business sense to be buying players that we can make money on since we do not generate very much in scotland. I dont want us to sell our top assets now after 1 good season, we are building a very good team, but it is nice to know that the team we have is worth a lot more than we actually paid for it.

 

Nobody wants to see the best players move on HOWEVER at every club every player has their price and ala mcgeady when thats met they go with our best wishes

 

John Park set up the youth development system at Hibs, and just look at the players he brought through there. He was an incredibly good signing for us and it's a credit to this forum that he is recognized as such.

Youth development and buying raw talent to sell on at a profit is our future. It was also our past, before the Murray madness and the buying success took over Scottish football.

I think it's great that we are going back to the real Celtic way. Find them young, coach them well, make a winning team and sell at a profit. That's the way to do it.

Can I just add Stevie Frail into the mix for this one.

 

could be going to liverpool if we are to believe the papers,if for talks sake its true i am worried as he has unearthed kayal,izzy etc and lenny has final say,lenny has picked k.wilson he played with him at forest and its not looking good at all,hope the lad proves me wrong,fojut lenny played against him and thot he looked the part tho some polish fans dont rate him which i hope there wrong,i just hope john stays and picks lenny 2 good centre halfs etc

 

When we talk about keeping our best players at Celtic, we need to keep the backroom staff here as well. John Park has been an integral part to our team and is a must keep.

 

The cheap talent he has spotted has been unbelievable, the ages of them all are very impressive as well. He's somebody we need to keep, even if it means bumping up his wages a little if there's others clubs interested in pinching him.

 

we cant afford to lose this guy and i hope he turns it down would be a massive loss

 

I don't think there's even a player I would want to leave less than John Park.
