Yip samaras was world class in comparison to him.
Good player for united but would be out his depth with us.

Mackay-Steven was the better prospect out the two, Hayes really isn't to be honest I'd be surprised if we haven't got better or at least equal in our development squad. McGinn is a good player but we don't need him as we're covered in midfield with better players.

I think you would be surprised if you asked Rodgers. Just my opinion though.

    Rate this guy so highly

Absolute no brainer, especially if Armstrong leaves.

Jonny Hayes was the best player in Scotland outwith Celtic last season. I don't think many would argue with that.

I'd have rated McGinn, Logan and Christie in his loan spell better than him in that Aberdeen side alone.

Surely us spending money on these player's here, who aren't even the best in their respective side's, (your word's) is doing these club's a favour?

Yeah he's a pretty excellent fullback by SPL standards. With Patterson leaving, probably the best in his poisition in the league outside of Celtic.

Doesn't mean we should sign him though.

People are kidding themselves on if they don't think Hayes was the best player outwith Celtic last season. He was far and away the best.

Any time we played Aberdeen, he was the only player I was "worried" about. Scored a few belters against us over the past 3 or 4 years.

3 in 40 games against us overall isn't it?

    No he wasn't.

GMS wasn't even starting every game for Dundee United when we signed him. He started on the bench in 7 out of the 21 games that season before signing for us in January.

Armstrong was twice voted into the SPFL Team of the Season before signing for us. He was the one who had the potential to go far. Not GMS.

Cup final and that long range one. Can't think of any others but pretty sure there might have been one other.

He's scored at least 3 at Pittodrie against us for definite. 2 last year with the cup final and 3-1 up there. Scored a worldy when Virgil got sent off the midweek game and another one off the right blitzed it past Gordon under Deila from the right, think they beat us 2-1..

He's scored 4 against us in 27 games. 3 have been worldies and the other was in the cup final.

Considering he's been on the losing side in 22 of those games, his record isn't as bad as it looks.

Regardless, Rodgers is clearly on the same page as he signed him.

In terms of McGinn, it'll be interesting to see how he plays against us. He always gave Brown a good game when he was at St Mirren.
