Not seen much of this ‘incredible’ speed. He never takes a man on.

 

Doesn’t offer enough going forward to be as * at defending as he is.

 

We don't have to accept anything. That is your opinion, we all have one of them.
We get a good right back in from Dortmund, and now some of you want to chase him back out the door.
Of course he can improve, we all can, but Toljan gives us incredible speed and balance on that right side
as a counterbalance to Tierney. He's got Forrest in front of him cutting inside, not giving him much protection.
Big games coming up, do you want us stuck with the other three at right back ?.
Give the guy a break and get off his back. We have more serious problems elsewhere like a chronic lack
of midfield spark. Focus on that please.

 

I think we should be looking to switch to a back three as it gets around this problem, Forrest has played well as a wing-back in the past and I think there are games where we need 2 up-front.
However, if we are to persist with a back four, which is most likely in the big gamescoming up, I would be much more comfortable with either of Lustig or Ralston starting.
Toljan started out looking alright and has got progressively worse. We have got an awful right-back from Dortmund.

 

Not so.
Three at the back does not work, you know that. Lustig, Gamboa and Ralston would all get torn a new one by both Aberdeen or Sevco.
We are not going back there. Brendan and Lenny all like Toljan and play him. That is all that matters.

 

I think Toljan only played because the humpy * was injured and Benkovic wasn't fully fit, so Lustig was played centrally. I expect Lustig will start the next game there.

He would get raped by Kent again.

Not sure why it matters he has been at Dortmund given he didn't really play first team football for them.

Reminds me of Derk Boerrigter in terms of impact.

That is a poor comparison I think. Toljan is more like Janko, but he is better than Janko, he has room for further improvement.
Big Derk was a skivver who sat on the medic's bench all the time or in the stand.
You will never see Toljan hide in a game.

But there are similarities.

 

He's getting worse game by game. Bizarre after such a promising start.

Personally I wouldn't and think that'd be a bad move..

 

I'm torn about it.

On one hand, I think Toejam would get destroyed defensively. Lustig is the far experienced defender, but he will get roasted for pace by, probably, Kent.

 

Exactly why I'd go for Ralston for this game..

 

I think Ralston would be a good option too mate, but he's just not played enough this season to warrant an inclusion.
