Hear stuff like this all the time, even at games, on Twitter, etc. People seem to base their opinion of a player on 10-20 minute spells. Crazy.

That's all that needs saying.

The simple fact is, when KT is back the fullbacks are going to be so much more balanced and even, that is when we might even see the best of both not just Toljan as neither will be getting all of the attention.

It's all about opinions pal. And my opinion was that he has been utter * past 2 games. I hope he comes good and it's early days but from what I've seen I'm not overly impressed.

 

Actually thought he had a decent game on Sunday.

The past two games he’s been *, but you hope he comes good? What about the games he’s been good in? You’re talking about a game the entire team was poor against Valencia and a tough game on a * pitch against Killie... that we won and kept a clean sheet in.

Honestly, some * are gonna cause my blood pressure to slowly keep creeping and I’ll have a heart attack at 30. At least I’ll barely see 10 in a row.

 

I thought he was poor enough on Sunday and on Thursday but do think there’s a player in him.

 

Didn’t think he was great against Kilmarnock, but thought he was one of our ‘better’ performers against Valencia. Definitely the best out of the backline anyway

 

I mentioned the way the ball was bouncing at Killie. Their full backs were playing horrendous balls up the line that I thought were going out and the ball was just stopping dead.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rodgers has told him to keep it simple since he wouldn’t be used to that, also wouldn’t be surprised if he’s told him not to change pace too much incase he * an ankle or knee as he’s not used to the surface. It explains him playing simple and not taking risks. I’d of told him to do the same tbh.

 

Och get a * a grip snowflake. Deal with the fact someone may have a different opinion to you.

I do hope he comes good as it’ll be to the benefit of the team. But he’s had 2 games v st Johnstone and hibs. Done well. But then 2 * games regardless of opponents and playing surface. 2 decent games doesn’t make him a world beater, similarly doesnt make him *. Still has lots to prove imo but nothing I’ve seen so far indicates he is the long term solution to our RB problem.

So go take some beta blockers and calm the * down.

No question. I doubt if we will be able to afford to buy him permanently in the summer but if we can I would be delighted as I think he is a very good player from what I have seen so far. In fairness to the lad as well he has already taken a pay cut from whatever he was on at Dortmund to play this second half of the season with us. So even if that is it he certainly has shown at least in the short term that he actually wants to be at Celtic.

 

Especially when it’s used in completely the wrong way
