Lot of report's from here and France that we have the option of another 12 month's after this

 

Even some of your 3rd pick player's that can't get in to the first 2 side's are more than decent

Couple of wee signings and the much needed boost of getting any type of quality right back in for now and you can just feel the place is more upbeat..

Gave us all a lift for the second half of the season bud

 

Here’s Hoping then mate , imo ain’t long enough to see him in Full swing another 12 month would be Ideal , Would like to see him having a European Run with us

 

The squad did need some freshening up and that is precisely what this window has been. Not an overhaul, a la 2010's brainfart of a transfer window, but a freshing up, including players ready for the first XI. Well pleased.

 

I think it's a good window overall considering how difficult the January transfer window can be.

It's frustrating it's mostly loans but I think they are all players of genuine quality and should hopefully be enough to see us over the line this season.

If Bayo and Shved turn out decent then I would say we can spend the entire summer window focusing on the defence and automatically our position looks a lot better going into next season. Between now and then surely the scouting team can identify 2 centre backs.

 

Pleased with Weah and Burke but really it was a pretty abysmal window, probably the 4th in succession.

Desperately needed bare minimum 2 CBs, right back and a goalie. Got one of those on loan, for 6 months.

Try again, again, in the summer.

 

It's been an ok window, if we manage to get Weah and Burke for longer in the summer, whether that's permanent in burke's case or loan, would be great business. I do think if tolijan does good with us he'll sign in the summer too, and bayo and shved are decent signings. I still think we needed at least one CB for the summer and that's what brings this window down for me, that and guys like Hendry, Compper etc are still here and izaguirre is still our main back-up at LB.

 

Good window, would have liked a centre back but can't really complain getting in 4 players who will compete for a starting position

 

Bayo and Shved in permanently, Gutman and/or Perez are potentially first team team quality and we've got 3 very good loan signings in Weah, Burke and Toljan.

Obviously we all would have liked a CB and RB in permanently but anyone not happy with that window is off their head ever so slightly.

I believe either Burke or Toljan will stay here permanently in summer, if not both.

 

Abysmal window?

Bain has been a breath of fresh air in goal..

Centre backs fair enough but Benkovic only just got injured and Ajer, Simunovic are in. Boyata is around the corner. Benkovic will be back in a month or so..

You can say we could've done more or whatever but abysmal? Nah..

 

Sign a top drawer centre back in summer, as well as extend the loan of Weah and potentially buy Toljan (see how he gets on of course) and you're talking about a decent looking first team for the qualifiers. Hopefully Bayo is settled and scoring by then and we get the Griff back too!

 

I think abysmal is a bit harsh. The squad is much stronger than it was before we went into the window and despite adding loans we have added two permanent signings that look promising.

Agree we badly needed a CB coming in but it does seem to be a tough position to fill in January, especially if teams were bidding £7m for Scott McKenna.

 

The first XI looks immense on paper.

It’s a pity we won’t be at full strength vs Valencia but hopefully we get to see them all playing together at one point

 

That was a good window.

I’m still worried about our defence come summer time. Hopefully Toljan on a perm is an option, which will leave centre half being the only thing that will need rectifying.

As far as going forward is concerned, I think we are going to be a lot more dangerous than we were prior to Christmas. A lot of options now which we haven’t had..

 

Just have to hope west brom get promoted and we get to keep burke, if they stay down they'll 100% have use for him next year.
