    James McClean is a legend, I'd be like an excited child if we signed him. For the first time in a long time I would have a players name on the back of my shirt.
    He plays with heart unlike most players in the English Premier league.

    He could be the left footed, cut-inside winger to replace Paddy. Perfect fit for this team. He would cost too much in transfer fee and wages though.

    If he played for us the way he plays for Ireland id have in the first 11 every game.The guys got a great engine and rarely lets the team down.Ok he may not be the most skillful player we will ever get but i think he,d be good enough for our starting 11.

    To be honest I would take James McClean in a heartbeat if the wages weren't too insane, which they almost certainly will be after being a first team player in England for years. The guy loves Celtic and would give his all for the strip.

    Are we actually linked with him or has this been randomly bumped again?

    Already given my thoughts on him, decent player but think we could easily do better, he's not the kind of winger needed in our formation either, don't think he is good enough technically. More of a direct, powerful runner.

    Forrest is probably better too and Bitton plays in a completely different position.

    Would take him as a squad option but should be looking for far far better.

    You're underrating our starting XI hugely imo.

    A few years ago he would've been a decent signing. He could still do a job for us as a squad player but I'm not sure what the point would be really, he will be on a decent wage just now and I wouldn't want us to match it. If we're aiming to make an impact in Europe we need to aim higher.
