    CELTIC have NOT made an approach for Rennes midfielder James Léa Siliki.

    Reports from France today claimed that the Hoops had enquired about the highly-rated Frenchman.

    The former PSG youth player, 23, has also been linked with Porto and Watford.

    But SunSport understands there has been no interest from Neil Lennon.

    Celtic ‘not letting go’ of Ligue 1 player – Hint they could now be favourites to sign him

    Unlike teams in England, Celtic have all the time in the world to get transfers over the line, as their window closes on September 2nd.

    The club have already strengthened their defence with the likes of Christophe Jullien, Hatem Abd Elhamed and Boli Bolingoli, but other areas of the pitch could still do with some work


    One of the players of interest for Neil Lennon and co. is Rennes’ James Lea Siliki, who has already been mentioned as a target for Celtic in the past.

    France Football explain the Scottish side ‘aren’t letting go’ of the player, and are ‘making eyes at him’.


    While Porto were once seen as the ‘favourites’ to sign the 23-year-old, the French outlet believe that might have changed now after Celtic made him one of their ‘objectives’ for the current transfer window.

    Much like Scotland, French clubs have all of next month to get their business done, so we might get some more updates in a few weeks, as this doesn’t appear to be a pressing issue just yet
