He was good at points last year but go back another year again and he was an inconsistent and huffy wee *.

His level of maturity is levels above this season.

I think it’s those extremely tight shorts he has started wearing :fear:

It's the problem with the modern footballer - 24/7 social media. Lot of pressure.

IN the past a guy could have a dry spell and could keep his head down and get over it. Today not so.

Sadly, the same folk who are singing his praises today will be the folk coming on lynching him when he goes 3 games without a goal.

Pretty sure we already had established the fact that since Brendan came Forrest has shown more and more how reliable he can be. Can't fault him on effort.

Not that hard to understand, he's been around for so long and always been inconsistent, sometimes looked like he couldn't be arsed taking the huff when he lost the ball, and obviously hampered by injury a fair few times. He's been a frustrating figure for years. They'll get over it eventually. If they don't, they're just wallopers.

I've always been a critic for those reasons (probably a fair few posts in this thread) and I still think they were valid up to last year, but under Rodgers he's looked a new player, no injuries has helped obviously, but his attitude in general is improved massively, he works harder for the team, tracking back when he loses the ball when in the past he'd stay on the ground looking for a foul arms raised while play went on around him.

He's matured as a player, the ability was always there as we saw when he broke into the team 37 years ago, but not the level of effort and application he gives now. I think he'd be dominating games even more if we had someone like Tierney at RB supporting him, Lustig has been a nightmare this season.

His second goal is a peach and would make the highlight reel.

His third though is more impressive. Watch the very last slow mo, the way he rolls his foot over the ball and the wee flick to dig it out his feet? Pure class in a glass.

Reminded me of an old 50s or 60s winger yesterday. Garrincha type play, just bombing up the pitch driving and cutting through defences. Fantastic to watch to be honest. I'm delighted for him. He's been our best player this season without a doubt.
