3 assists, Dembele twice and Tierney.

First player to get a hat-trick of assists I think since Adam Matthews who done it before 3/4 year ago, cant mind who against.

Kilmarnock at a guess with Matthews?

Shooders was terrific with it today. No hitting or floating to an area. Pin point assists..

I am one of his biggest critics. I think he shirks responsibility and isn't made of the right stuff. He started the season really well - a mixture of Rodgers man management and Roberts competition I felt, but he was regressing to his past season invisibility in recent games.

Today, I think Rodgers has had a word with him about the recent slump and he responded immensely. His work ethic has definitely increased this season and you often see him tracking back more than in previous years. He just believed in himself and drove at the opposition all day.

Really should have had a goal when he intercepted that terrible pass. He thoroughly deserves all the plaudits he gets today, fantastic performance. Long may it continue.

Forrest is a pretty decent player. Thought he was excellent today. Like most wingers he's inconsistent. Sometimes fantastic, sometimes *.

Forrest answered his critics today as he was tremendous. He really has gave us a dilemma between him and Roberts.
But it is a nice dilemma to have.

Was superb today, his only quiet spell was after he was raked down his leg when breaking away, when he is in this type of form he is a great wee player.

Had that left back on toast from the first minute, that touch for Dembele's first to put the defender on his *. Then 2 lovely dinked balls in for the other 2 assists, a lot more like it.
The thing we need from him is consistency though.

Really interesting reading back a year ago ... 100 pages or so 74/5/6 and looking at what folk were saying about him!

Really glad that Brendan has got him sorted out to a good degree. I love his speed and movement with the ball - always have since I first watched him at CP and he scored the Shakter Hary-Scary goal...
Just with he had a killer finishing touch.

Wingers have a tough gig playing for a dominant team against opposition that predominantly play 2 banks of 4 on their 18 yard box.

You see it with Sinclair at times also, there are times in matches when you feel he's just not being effective with 2 man cover.

I measure wingers on their delivery when they get the opportunity to deliver, on the occasions they don't, it's likely tactical reasons. Shifting the ball left to right wing, overlapping full backs and drawing defence out all aid wingers route running opportunities.

There are exceptions though, Paddy Roberts, 2 man marking doesn't really counter him as he doesn't require pace to get to the line or drive to the box.

Sinclair and Forrest's best attribute is pace so with a compressed 20 yards to goal you get nowhere to run and insstead play the team game using 1-2's or recycling possession backwards.

So yeah, inconsistency due to him, mostly not. Give him an open game and he'll tear it up, just like Sinclair would.

Another case of Brendan taking a player who we thought was either on his way out the door or on a terrible run of form, and just bringing out the best in him, to the point where he's more often than not keeping a prospect like Roberts out the team.

A pefect example of Brendans man management skills :shamrock:

    Was great against caley.

Has been a real asset this season and has deservedly kept the huge talents of roberts out the team.

Has worked hard at the defemsive side of his game and he is tracking back effectively too.
Could do with scoring more often too but maybe we are unfairly compairng his tally to scotty's which has been incredible from him
