Celtic have been rewarded for reaching the last 16 of the Champions League for the first time with a trip to play Italian giants AC Milan.

Celtic will be at home for the first leg on February 20th then travel to the San Siro on March 7th

The teams faced each other two years ago in the same competition with Celtic losing 2 late goals in a 3-1 defeat in Milan then a 0-0 draw at Celtic Park.

Milan are currently struggling in Serie A following an 8 point deduction for their part in the Italian match fixing scandal.

The match is set to become the most lucrative in Celtic's history with the club banking £3 million through gate receipts, prize money, television and advertising.

Celtic's chief executive Peter Lawwell has welcomed the draw, calling it a great tie for players and supporters.

It could also be good news for the travelling support with Celtic set to receive a large allocation of tickets for the 80,000 capacity San Siro.
