    Just out of interest, do you believe murderers who are women should be raped as punishment also?

    Maybe I have just got cold because of the people i have lost, but I don't understand how people get emotional over tragedies that don't effect them. Unless it involves someone I care about, I don't really care at all. If you let the bad stuff that happens every day get you down you'd hang yourself. I don't even think the people getting all hysterical care truely either, strikes me as a chance to * themselves off at what macho men they are. Describing in vivid detail all the things they'd like to do, they share similar imaginations to the most creative serial killers.:smiley-laughing002:

    Wow. What a horrendous post, in my opinion.

    Nobody is letting the bad stuff that happens every day get them down. What's happened here is something horrific has happened and very close to home. For some people it's their local area and could have been their sister, daughter or friend. People are emotional because it's very very sad. You're entitled to your views but I think you'll be pretty alone with that one.

    Spot on :50::50:.

    Seen just last week photos of a guy in jail, which he took with his phone. With his playstations, dvds, tv, real madrid and chelsea tops etc in the background. It's a holiday camp for majority of them, and they know if they are good they'l get out in less time. Something they should have been doing before, being of good behavior and living by the law, and wouldn't be in the place.

    How can you not feel emotional when something like this happens so close to home?

    I don't feel like I'm going to cry every time I think about it, it's the fact an innocent girls life was snatched away from her in a brutally violent way and this cold calculated killer tried to cover it up is the most disrespectful way. It's * frightening that a guy can do that and be ok with it all, still manage to stay calm enough infront of the police when he literally had the poor girls body melting in his bath not long before.

    If he gets out in 25 years someone will get revenge, whether it's right or wrong someone will do it. It wouldn't be me, but I think he deserves every * bit of it.

    i don't just mean this specific case or just comments from people from Glasgow, mean it more generally.

    It is very sad, for her and for her family though not for * on talkceltic who didn't even know of her existence until she was already dead.

    again not just meaning this specifically, and maybe its because ive lost so many close family members at such a young age but murders of people i don't know never make me that sad. Certainly not to the extent where i will get into pornographic details of how id like to torture people anyway.

    Ok. Your point is valid and I can understand where you're coming from.

    Your tone and language just takes away from that a bit, maybe use a bit more tact.. It seems your beef is more with the extent of the vengeance chat rather than the fact people are upset by things.

    it gets tiresome, it only ever happens when the murderer or beast is a man though, if we lived in an alternative universe where she was killed by a woman we would not be getting comments saying she deserves to be raped and tortured etc

    It's when we imagine that victim as our sister, girlfriend or daughter that the emotional impact occurs. I don't know the girl. And your observation is correct; there is no point getting wound into a frenzy over someone you don't know. It is when you contemplate that action happening to your little sister that may evoke reaction. That's only human and normal. Without it, you may find it hard to experience empathy.

    What you would do to the perpetrator is entirely different. Nobody knows what they would do, my imagination only tells me what I would like to do to that person who harmed my loved-one if given the possibility. By and large, it is only society and rules that stop us.

    I understand his point, but he is showing a severe lack of empathy.....which is to me, an absolutely vital trait in humans.
