Unconfirmed, but sounds grim.

Still, a 32 year old who had been out of the game for 2 years signed on a free. Considering that it has been a fantastic run to date from him imo.

 

Rodgers said: “Both Leigh and Craig are struggling.

“It’s Leigh’s calf and he has had issues and problems there.

“Craig’s looks a bit more serious in terms of his knee.

“We need to have a look at that in a scan so it looks like he could be out for a period of time.

“I think he has twisted his MCL so we will have to see how he is.

“Could Leigh be back before the European game? It depends. If it is a calf strain then I wouldn’t have thought so.

“It has been a bit of an ongoing issue at times.

“It is frustrating for us and frustrating for him. Like I said last week, he was ready to start against Brechin and then he had a problem with his ankle.

“He comes back and does really well against Partick and get the winner.

“He then starts today and gets the winner and has obviously got injured, so it is unfortunate.

Asked if the injuries could alter his thinking with transfer targets, Rodgers added: “Certainly for the goalkeeping situation.

“We have sent young Conor Hazard out on loan, funnily enough to get experience because I think he could be a very good keeper for us in the future but he needs to get the games.

“That is probably an area we might need to look at, for sure.

“Some of the other boys are maybe not too far away in terms of coming back but what we need, I am still pretty clear on what we wanted to get in. I am still pretty clear on that, so there is no change really.”

At this rate they'll pick up completely unrelated injuries before recovering from their current ones.

 

Every injury I can think of has come during games so I’d say it’s mostly down to bad luck and the amount of games we’ve played catching up with us more than anything

Always going to pick up injuries and that’s why when the league is wrapped up you need to start resting players we couldn’t done it last season cause of the invincibles. If we don’t make Scottish Cup final the minute the league is done and dusted get the kids out and get everyone away on holiday and * scotland
