Most places in Dublin will do Chicken Jalfrezi, garlic naan bread and onion bhajis (these are the dogs bollix) I'd recommend that as something to start off with, everyone seems to love it.

Just a heads up, if anybody is near me (G53 area)..

If yer no ordering yer Chinese from Oriental Delight at the beginning of Hillington Road, you’d be as well chucking the take aways. Best Chinese I’ve ever had.

Or if your not like into the spicy tomato based curries, try a korma or butter chicken, amazing selection of curries in most shops.

Don’t mind Chinese food but absolutely love Indian. The Shenaz in Glasgow is tough to beat.
Been to Chakoo’s and not keen on the tapas format. Prefer pakora starter then main course, rice and naan. Also remember * all over the toilet floors when Chakoo’s used to be finnegans.

I like a Chicken Tikka Chasni from the Indian and Crispy Shredded Beef from the Chinese.

If I had to choose, I'd go Indian.

Prefer an Indian, get one once a month if not more. Usually from Curry on the Hill at mine or Multan in Paisley if I'm at hers, both are quality but can be pricy. Also mentioned in another thread before about the Anarkali on Victoria Road, family swear by it and it's very reasonable. Hardly ever get a Chinese but found Skirving in Shawlands very good anytime I've used it. Bit dear, but probably because we were ordering for 3 and/or hungover!

Sitting eating my tuna on lunch starving now.

Much prefer an Indian. Used to prefer Chinese as a kid but my regular place shut and nowhere near has come close, until recently anyway.

I have eaten Indian food from a young age though. My da is a good cook and has worked in retail wholesale for ages so he's picked up a lot of recipes and tips from Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi retailers from all over Scotland. I don't eat Indian takeaway that much, once every couple of month or so, but the auld man whips up a great vindaloo, chasni, jalfrezi or whatever at home

thats bollocks. you get a chasni here too.

Koh-I-Noor up from Charing Cross is meant to be really good, Billy Connollys favourite Indian apparently.

Sung Gardens in Lenzie for a Chinese takeaway. Delhi Darbar in Bishy for an Indian takeaway/sit-in.

The 2 Chinese in Falkirk are dynamite for sitting in; Tea House and Cotton House.
