Any thing out of the Welcome Chinese in stranmills. But not really fussed on any takeaway or restraunt food as i love cooking, it's usually just while on the swally I'll eat them.

In Ireland we tend to have more of a penchant for Chinese food. Think it was lack of Indian restaurants. They are only starting to spread in the last 15 years. There always has been a culture of Indian culinary in Scotland and particularly north of England.

    Honestly depends on the mood.

Packy is right though Indian places only started popping up here recently where as Chinese takeaways have been ever prsent.

I went through a phase of only ordering indian because it was all new, these days though be much more likely to order a good 3in1, ribs and prawn crackers to nurse an aul hangover.

My local chinese is pretty good and its the only one within a 5 mile radius so id tend to use it a lot lol, it does a 'set meal for 1' 4 chicken balls or bbq ribs, 2 spring rolls, portion of smoked chicken peking and portion of fried rice for £8 easily feeds 2 as well

I know it's not in the discussion but kebabs in Scotland are terrible and the chilli sauces even worse in my experience. On the flip side the best Chinese I've ever had were in Scotland..

I go through phases. Usually always between an Indian, Chinese or Thai when we order. Chinese more when I'm/we're busted and hungover next day..

Totally agree about kebabs in Scotland.

Kebab shop chips are always rotten too.

Used to prefer Indian but prefer Chinese now. Indian food just lays you by for the rest of the night.

I’m no a big kebab fan, but the quality up in Aberdeen is much better than Glasgow, loved working up there. The Indians are better in general than Glasgow.

I’ll usually order a South Indian Garlic from the kebab shop. Or just anything from the Chinese, usually just order random stuff to try.

I’ve mentioned that on here before. Had a kebab in Glasgow once after a Celtic game and the chilli sauce was a terrible jam-like substance.
