Right folks I seriously need help here, :54:
I've been off and on employment for months now, and am looking too see if anybody could help me out find a full time job.

I am good with computers, excelent customer skills, and have loads of experience on building sites (concrete, shuttering joiner, chain boy and general labouring!). Every squad I've worked with tells me am a right wee grafter! lol can't sit on ma * for 2 secs!
Have been doing landscaping for the last wee while.

I do hold a CIS card for the construction sites.

Im at my wits end here, and can see no other way to getting back to full employment, I've checked the Jobcentre Online, filled out aplication forms till am blue in the face, phoned every company in the book, and just keep getting told al phone you back! "AYE RIGHT"!
    Credit crunch to blame??

I don't drive yet, but I can travel with public services.

Av 3 kids and christmas is getting closer and closer.

If anybody can help me, even if its just advise I'd be eternaly gratefull!

    Thanks
    John

go down to your nearest building site and ask mate. sounds like you could a lot of different jobs, you shouldn't have much trouble if you're computer literate or dont mind a bit of graft

Are you looking for any sort of job? I know a few people but it wouldnt be on a building site the work has all dried up. Would you work in a call centre for example?

I'd say its perhalps the not being able to drive that is maybe getting in your way, i'd think employers see that as a "big plus"(being able to drive)
    good luck

aye anything..... tried ma local call centre TSC in larbert, but heard nothing back as usual! ma wee sisters boyfriend tried to get me in Thomas Cook in Larbert but no luck again...

at this point in my life I would shovel shi*t!

This is causing so much problems at home too, I know I should keep all this personal, but as I said at the start, Im at my wits end!
Nothing against Polish,Romanians etc but every guy I know in the sites all say Polish people get the jobs first due to the lower wage demands.... buts I guess if I was an employer I'd do the same.

Have you joined any recruitment agencies? Also, as Dusty said, keep phoning people you have applied to. I'm pretty sure the job centre has telephones in it for people to do just that. I ran a bar, and while you have a large number of people applying to work in such places, it's the ones who keep asking that you remember. I'm ages with you and had 5 months unemployed. It gets you down. The main thing is making sure you're up at the crack of dawn looking. That way you don't have time to sit around and feel bad about your situation. Good luck.

join the police they are crying out for people and its a canter. think the fireman are looking for people aswell.

another option that i was going to go for was first bus. they where putting me thru my bus licence as i already have a driving one. But when i was there to get a application forum there was signs saying they would put you thru your car licence then your bus licence and as long as you stay with them for 2 year you dont have to pay a penny back.

Hope ya get a job soon mate

again thanks for all your help and sound advise!

I think today I was so depressed that I just needed to hear I could be ok, and that there are people that can help and give good advise! because I sware ! the job centre is totally useless! For a guy my age, and who is willing to work his * off, it just shouldn't be this hard! But am sure there are people thats went through the same!

Hail Hail to the best supporters in the world!:shamrock:

Mate - if you're a grafter then you'll do alright - google jobs in falkirk - there should be a few sites there you can apply through and you won't have the problem of no driving licence.

All the best mhate and I hope everything works out.
