Was the price right and the quality good :drag:

Seriously mind. Don't let it go Sean. Bit of hassle but hopefully stop other people getting done.

Listen mate, 30 quids alot of money when someone is getting it tight. Wasn't that long ago in the deep recession here i was calculating the miles on the car and how much it would cost me and afraid to even drive it anywhere because it was costing me a few euro and only had 10euro in my pocket holding onto it for dear life fs. We all go through hard times, some more than others. Just keep the head up and never be embarrassed by it, you'll get out if it with the right mindset.

As for them scum * taking that from your account. Is it up to you to find who they are. I'd have thought it was the banks. Something similar happened to my ma, 40s, 20s and 60s started coming out of her account. She only noticed when she checked her account a month later. But, she phoned the bank and they sorted everything instead.

It's in the small print I'm afraid. Happened to me and cancelled it.
Ended up in deep myself. Wedding, wife ended up unemployed and on the sick, I was in the sick too.
Managed to come to an agreement with debt help scotland. Was either that or be bankrupt over a few stupid things that happened when my wife and myself were unwell.

If you still are in deep I'd May be look at a trust deed. Protects you from these buggars and only get it in Scotland.
It's not ideal but after like 4 years that's it all done and dusted.

Haven't read through it all but I'll just chip in a bit if information about these * having worked in a bank.

From previous knowledge these * will take your card details, bank details and whatever else it needs. They will then charge you an about fee if something like £45 on top of the loan. They then pass on your details to other payday loanc companies to see what that can offer, but then they will charge you an admin fee and it goes on and on.

The problem customers had previously is that the bank couldnt stop it. It's not fraud because you have given them your details. They can't charge it back because the company will go back and say you have agreed to their t&C's.

Getting rid of your back card doesn't work either. I think the only thing that works is to close your bank account.

These payday loan company's are a * disgrace. Legalised loan sharks. Utterly disgusting that they are allowed to advertise

The best advice I can give to anyone in financial disarray is to visit the citizens advice bureau. They will try and help you get to grips with your debt and will even contact your debtors for you and it costs nothing.

That's * mate. Money woes are the worst.

It'll get better though. Lots of wee changes can end up making a huge difference.

Worst comes to worst though at least you'll never go hungry, there's always your old self checkout trick to fall back on. :84:

@Sean Daleer payday loans are absolute worst * as you know yourself but they are so easy when you’re desperate.

I managed to get everything back that I paid in interest to Wonga but I was using them before the crack down. Learned to swallow my pride and aske family or friends first. I know that’s not always an option for everyone though.

Can understand how it happened when you’re in about them, don’t be too hard on yourself.

This is why these sort of loans end up so expensive. A lot of customers don't pay the money back. It is high risk lending.

The other issue is at best you'll end up with a poor credit rating. Anytime you need to borrow money again you'll be stuck with extortionate rates if anyone will touch you. Forget getting something like a mortgage.

It's not good seeing so many people taking on these extortionate loans as they are desperate and getting pulled further into debt.

I think I have over 100 blocked numbers and I still keep getting their calls. They seem to have an unlimited supply of different phone lines. I accidentally called a number back and was connected for about a nano second and it skanked £3 off my credit. Connected instantantly, didn't even ring to give me the chance to cut the call.

Got a ransom email recently, demanding $987. Said he got my details from a * site and has recorded me via my laptop's webcam. LOL, had blue tack on it since day one. Promised to delete my video if I send him the money. If the * did have anything on me he'd know that my vices aren't sexual. What did worry me though was in the email he quoted an old password of mine. No idea how he got that?

Awful to read - so sorry you've had to deal with this. Maddening. :47:

It might be worth making a report to your relevant data protection authority (DPA). It sounds like explicit and informed consent as well as the sharing of your personal data was NOT done in a lawful or transparent manner. You have fundamental rights to the protection of your personal information and could have a strong case for your DPA to follow up and go after these scum bags.

In case this helps you and others:

*, my stickers fell off recently, you've just reminded me to cover it up again! Haha.

All jokes aside, there was a suicide here because of emails like that. Teacher was watching * on his work laptop, started receiving these emails and ended up commiting suicide over them :(
If people are into some kinky *, one has to be careful and cute to these emails. Some could be bullshit but others might just have something on them they wouldn't want people to know about.

I can see why it could * someone up though.
