I'm going to look like a * idiot here but it's important the forum knows about this.

I've been struggling for months trying to make ends meet so took out a payday loan. Struggled with the repayments so took out another loan.

Long story short I'm in deep so tried to consolidate with a loan and got redirected to a credit report site. More specifically a social credit report site. Obviously with all the third party sharing when I was redirected the credit report site already had my details so I didn't join.

They just took money out of my account. Only 30 quid but it's 30 quid I can't afford.

I don't know the site. I never signed up but they just took money out of my account. Opened a fraud investigation with my bank and have spent all day trying to track down the company who took the money. They don't show up on a Google search, there is no number no email nothing.

I always thought I was too smart to get scammed by these * but when you are desperate you can easily make mistakes.

Basically don't take out payday loans but if you really have to then make sure and do your homework on the company before being a * * like me and getting sucked in. A dodgy broker has clearly sent my details to another dodgy * who has removed money without my approval.

Might seem obvious to most but I thought it was obvious to me before today...

These * bottom feeders are getting more sneaky every day.

This is why I'm doing 100 hours OT this month and have already signed up for another 80 next month.

That's a shiter mate. Dirty basturts.

Been there and done that during my gambling days.

Download an app called ClearScore for your credit score. It's free and gives decent tips for making improvements. Also matches you to lenders without doing a 'hard search' on you, so no ongoing impact to your score.

PM me if you have any questions that you don't want to air on here :50:

Cheers mate. Need to get some sleep. I was * off so got a bottle of wine tonight . Only 10 hours between my shifts so stanked it sharpish.

If one good thing comes of this it's that I'm sitting here wondering why the * I got a drink. Don't feel any * better for it.

Worst thing for it sometimes when you already feel * but it's easy to lean on it when you're stressed. Ultimately it's a depressant.

Keep on at the bank. In time this will just be a lesson. An expensive one aye but one that you'll be better for in the long run.

Definitely get that app downloaded and have a look at your score. If you're paying silly APR rates then you might be able to save yourself money in the long run.

    * Sean. They got you at a vulnerable time and they know that from you even taking a loan. They have the act and computer software so polished it doesn’t raise suspicion because that is their primary source of income. Dirty fuccks.

That is seriously * up mate. Have to watch all of these types and automated withdrawals etc. It's possible that the one of the lenders that you borrowed off from has potentially sold the debt to another party - including passing on all of your details, including your banking details - whether or not it was with your consent buried in the small print or not - and it is them who is now ciphoning the money from your account. Am aware of horror stories emerging from various parts of the world, as there seems to be precious little in the way of oversight and governance of this type of thing on a global scale, which is why this type of lending - and even from reputable lenders such as some banks and other financial instituations - is fraught with problems. Essentially, it is legalized loan sharking.

Firstly SD you aren't alone in being scammed by such people. Nor should you feel like you've been stupid or a *. Those scammers prey on the vulnerable and know exactly how to take even small amounts from thousands of accounts, knowing many won't even notice.

By contacting your bank you've done the right thing and it is fraud so hopefully they will act fast and reimburse you. At the very least i'd be asking them to ensure no further debits are taken without your written permission and signature.

I'll assume you have a poor credit rating and that is nothing to be ashamed of either. If you have an account with a main stream bank try making an appointment to discuss your finances. Citizen's Advice is also another good place to try get expert advice if you feel you need it.

Sounds daft but also consider opening an account with a recognised trusted Credit Union. Then try making small deposits as and when you can. In time they will also consider you for short term loans and at reasonable rates.

Done something similar a few years back.
Was down in London and got a missed call on my mobby, so thinking it was work I phoned it back up and some foreign guy comes on, and as we worked with guys from Russia, Albania and so on and they didn't speak very good English (they learned English by watching old only fools and horses DVDs on a constant loop in the bothy) I kept shouting for them to put the boss Keith on. Turns out it was a scam and they were charging me £17 a minute for the call. :47:
3 minutes I was on for

Mind my maw got scammed not long ago, some guy pretending to be Microsoft or pc World or something and basically talked his way into gaining control of her computer and then demanded money off her to unlock it and not delete everything.
