How much will be spent?

I hope we spend big compared to previous seasons but i cant see Lawell doing it. I think the edouard signing was quite a poignant message to the huns and the timing of it. They had a feel good factor with slippy g coming in and then we sent a big message out last summer with a £9m signing. Hopefully this summer is the same. I honestly think a quality rb (£5m-£10m) would transform us into a brilliant attacking team again. If the castagne rumours were true it's promising that lawell had an £8m bid in January. Fingers crossed the cheque book comes out. Another point.. has anyone heard any further news on John park?? We should be making sure that gets over the line quickly

Don't think I expect Rogic to go but it certainly wouldn't surprise me. Class act but he barely kicked a ball for us last season.

If Lennon is going to opt to go 4-4-2 then I don't see a place for Rogic...or Sinclair for that matter.

Again on paper we lost to them and horrendous in the qualifying, plus we are losing Boyata, Lustig and Izzy this summer.

I would add a keeper to that if I’m honest, Bain is ok but that’s a position we could easily improve on.

Do you think Rogic would accept playing in a squad system where we play different systems, both for giving players time off and addressing different competition?

Btw, when folk say we should sign a load of players, what is the largest amount we've ever bought in one window? This is rhetorical, how many of them became established 1st team players?

A large number of signings for the squad maybe but not the first team, we are a long way from crisis.

 

if we dont invest relatively substantially between 10 to 15m this season then the whole club is viewing the last season by the trophies alone and not the overall standard which has plummeted since rodgers first season (we know there will be a good amount of players leaving between 5 to 10)

playing with fire and i agree about hiring lennon could be about a general downsizing of the clubs squad and wages and i love lennon

i wouldnt mind a slimmed down squad but there as got to be good backups for the 1st teamers none of this shoehorning inadequate players in or playing our best * player at left back

sevco have raised their standards (as can be seen with them gubbing us twice at bigotdome last season) they will be pumped to * to deny us 9 this coming season, i suspect that ebt like transfers have and are back on the cards from them cheating * and we surely can all see the refs are trying to give them a leg up

decent backup left back that will can be trusted to play 20 to 30 games for us no problem, a good 1st team right back and backup again that can be trusted to play for 20 to 30 games in case of injury we need center backs

i think elsewhere in the team we look ok but i wouldnt mind a star or 2 in the midfield or attacking 3rd

but defence is the priority get it * sorted christ

 

Rogic needs to be playing in a 5 man midfield really. He doesn't have the work rate or stamina to be doing the box-to-box stuff. Whether he'd be happy to be overlooked at times I'm not sure.

I'm not sure of the record but Lennon signed 11 players in his first summer transfer window. I don't think we need that many but we certainly need a fair few.

 

You've already changed it from 'you expect him to go' to 'you expect a big bid'. There are reports of bids for our players all the time in pre-season, some are true most are bullshit. If you are right and he goes then fair enough, personally I cant see it.

 

Expecting the usual pish.... around 10 million. Could be pushed up a tad, depending on CL and below transfers.

Ntcham out for about 10-12 mill, Porto still keen and AVB at Marseille still wants him! Hate to say goodbye but Tam out for about 10 mill.. PL possibly....
