As the title threat states, how much money do you think will be given to Lennon this summer?

I don’t know how to add a poll but if someone could possibly do that, then that would be great.

Option 1 - £15/£20 million - Pedro has gone mad, doesn’t want his bonus or his massive wage.

    Option 2 - £10/£15 million - Pedro had a few drinks ok’d it.

Option 3 - £5/£10 million - Pedro said it’s the same as the first time in charge Neil.

Option 4 - Loans, free’s and compensation fee’s? - Pedro needs a new heated drive way with new disco lights!

We need to spend £20m on at least 4-6 players. Potentially more if we supplement it with players leaving and potential CL qualification.

The £9m for Rodgers will also disappear no doubt seeing as we got Lennon for * all.

In reality I would be surprised if we spent above £10m.

I’d be shocked if we spent more than 10 million.

There won’t be a figure and Lenny won’t be told one either. That’s how Lawwell can be creative, the same ‘the money is there for the right player’ line will be peddled.

And let’s be honest, the 2 main factors that will influence player expenditure are; Champions League qualification and what the domestic completion is like. For that reason you’re more likely to see more money spent in the winter window. Which is fairly depressing.

I'd wet myself if we had a net spend of £8million.

I imagine we'd likely see us make a small profit and actually spend -£2million net.

At worst, if you can call it that we are looking at the above case. At best, we break even.

Not getting my hopes up if it's the usual we will sign a couple early then will most likely cash in on somebody, probably Ntcham, then see how we do in the CL qualifiers, would be surprised if there's not a couple of loan deals brought in.

Fully expect to be sat here at the end of August either having not brought in the required quality and failed to qualify for CL or we've somehow managed it despite no real spending and so the board say it's too late in the window to do anything point out that the squad was good enough to qualify and then bank the cash with talks of strengthening in January.

I know we have been used to this recently but I genuinely don't believe this will happen considering what's at stake this season i.e. Matching the 9IAR. I fully expect at least a £10m spent on the playing squad with an optimistic spend of circa £15m, as that would be more than adequate imo.

If however, it transpires as you have described above, many fans who have felt short changed by the club in our transfer policy will be very angry, and rightly so.

Somewhere between options 3 and 4.

We'll sign someone for a couple million. Another one or two for around £1m each. Then a couple of loans/freebies.

    Prove me wrong, Peter.

    Won’t be near 10.

I reckon two of around 3mill at a push then frees and loans.

Option 3 or 4. The writing is on the wall when Lawell said we don't need major investment. Its not his job to decide how many players need, the manager should decides what is needed and its Lawells job to get them in.

I will say £15m spent overall in terms of “nett” spend we will probably end up in profit

Not as much as most fans hope we will spend. Expecting a frustrating summer window as usual.
