How Do We Approach Our Summer Business?

Stop telling us that we’re looking to make additions and actually start making additions, that would be a good start.

What tha * have they been doing for the months they supposedly have been working on transfers ,the leaked list could have been drawn up in about 2 hours good on the cleaner for highlighting this shambles

 

The amount of money generated over the last 3 seasons which has been mostly hoarded by the Tory * on our board is starting to make me feel sick.

They install lights and plan hotels while still considering selling the likes of Tierney and Edouard, but still no signings through the door - some of which we've been waiting on since last summer when we lost key players who weren't replaced.

Spend some * money.

The new pitch that got a disease.
The new disco lights
Those massive 27inch iMacs from the behind the scenes videos

That’s where yer cash has went!

 

Its the same rhetoric every summer.

“Working hard behind the scenes”

“Scouting team are working hard to secure targets”

“Finding it difficult to compete”.

All this work should have already been done during the season, the top targets listed and the moves made as soon as the window opens like a well planned operation.

 

Then onto January...

"This will be a big month for us"

"Expecting activity"

"It's a difficult window to get players in"

"Summer is more important anyway"

Repeat.

 

How will we approach this summer?

That's nowhere near the amounts from Armstrong, VvD, Dembele, and European participation and you know that..

its not about them. Doesnt matter who they are signing, we should be progressing and performing to the best we can. The aim should be the league title and CL qualification.

Its been a shambles.

 

No players in before the Champs League qualifiers is just the norm for us. Our board never learn. After being knocked out by a rank rotten Maribor side and bang average Malmo under Deila and then last year by a poor AEK you would think the penny would have dropped by now. On each occasion our board made no effort to try and make sure we qualified. We tried to scrape through spending as little as possible and got found out. We are still making the same mistakes.

I said it the other week that our current group of players are nowhere near good enough to get us into the group stages and unless we see a change in our boards mentality we won't qualify. Dembele money, Rodgers money, the money we got from Van Dijk going to Liverpool, the money brought in from qualifying for the Champs League group stages two years running. Where is it, cause it hasn't been spent on the team on the park. We have went with the cheap option by appointing Lennon which I wasn't happy about but I hoped we would back him. Scunnered by it. Not surprised however.
