Watched "it follows" recently but it didn't quite deliver. Left me disappointed.

Whilst more a 2 part, I do have to say Salems Lot is an absolute classic, probably the movie that scared the * out of me the most, head under the covers after that and certainly not looking at any windows, lol.

As for scariest movie, have to say a relatively recent movie, would go with Blair Witch Project. I did think that was very good, albeit, ending went a bit mental.

Sometimes the bigger the hype the bigger the let down, this was the case for me, i kept waiting for something to happen but it never did, just found it boring tbh.

All the old stuff has a creepy element to it, that childcatcher is a creepy *:56:

I enjoy sitting watching a horror from the 70's rather than new ones, much more atmosphere to an older movie. New movies are full of * patter and CGI and it does * all for me.

    Boring, unscary and very repetitive.

I fail to see how it can be rated so highly.

Seem many a horror and struggle to find anything decent any more. Like someone said the bigger the hype the bigger the disappointment. It follows, the babadook, the witch all *.

You are right mate. It worked for a few mins and scenes.. I was sitting on the edge of my seat for a few mins but then figured out way too soon that nothing ever was gonna happen. It became extremely boring rather quickly.

    Some good shouts!

    The Thing - classic Carpenter
Alien Franchise - any of the *, except Alien v's Predator!
The Shining - nothing as terrifying as insanity... it's real - Zombie's ain't!
The Cabin in the Woods - * hilarious.
An American Werewolf in London - also * hilarious.
28 Days / Weeks Later - both fab (although the first is the best).
    The Descent - claustrophobic
Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original) - brilliant

Does it get better in the end?

I bet the acting is a bit wooden.

Wait!! Don't tell me, in case I spoil it for myself.
