Looks interesting. More interesting concept than Get Out anyway which was vastly over-rated.

Will check it out but I'm learning not to get caught in the hype of the film festivals anymore. The last two horrors which got ridiculous hype were The Witch and Heredetory.

Turned out neither were horrors and both were meh.

Hollywood horror just isn't in a good place at the moment. James Wan was really the only one killing it which was sad.

    Completely disagree to be honest.

Think modern horror has been absolutely killing it.

    It Follows
    Don’t Breathe
    The Conjuring 1&2
    Annabelle: Creation
    Hush
    Get Out
    The Invitation
    A Quiet Place
    Train to Busan
    10 Cloverfield Lane
    IT

Even films that aren’t straight up horrors but have horror elements

    Black Swan
    The Gift
    Green Room
    Overlord
    Gone Girl
    Annihilation

Just left some comments in brackets. Get out is as much a horror as Gone Girl. Honestly don't see what people liked about that film.

Annihilation was outstanding. Wish I saw that in the cinema.

Not a fan of The Conjuring films at all. Never understood the hype.

Best horrors I’ve seen from the past few years are It Follows, The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Get Out, Annihilation and Gerald’s Game.

The bear thing from Annihilation is probably the scariest ‘monster’ I’ve seen in any horror film.

    Unreal movie.

Totally. Am I right in saying paramount originally had the rights and sold it post production ?

I think it was something like that, but anyway... What a balls up.

Aye, a big studio had it and sold it because they didn’t think it’d make any money I think.

In terms of the older horrors, I've caught up on a lot of the classic over the past few months.

The Thing (original) is easily my favourite.

The Thing is the best Horror movie ever made imo.

Even now on Blu Ray it is outstanding looking, the Puppetry used is far better than most CGI pish nowadays.

And having an all male cast was superb.

And the ending till this day is still being discussed. Great ending

All these new horror films are trying far too hard .
