We got one very, very tight decision. They got at least 2 blatant calls, and then going by the ref's logic we also should have had a penalty.

There's two ways of looking at it. You could say that pens are given for those types. In my opinion, there's no way it was a pen though and Hooper was clearly off-side for our goal.

Lennon needs to start looking at his own selections before blaming officials from now on however. The defense is a bad as it's been.

Caldwell and McManus were far better than the current mob.

How can he be clearly offside when his left leg is in line with the defender? :97: Clearly is 3 or 4 yards, not half a yard. There was *-all in it.

Hearts got 3 shocking decisions in their favour, we get one borderline one and some people think that's it 'even'. Far from it.

The way I see it, is neither were pens, but once you give one you have to give the other. Ian black should have been off, that would have dramatically changed the course of the game. I would hardly say clearly offside, a few cm's max.

Over the whole season we've conceded 20 goals in the spl, far less than anyone else. Once we get izzy back fully fit and have a back 4 of

    Matthews---Rogne---Mulgrew---Izzy

Then we have a very good defence. The best since the MON days imo

100% agree; a marginal offside does not excuse the fact we should have been playing 10 men for most of the game and the penalty decision that'll get Norris his next promotion. Didn't think the webster one was a pen but using the logic of the laptop loyal, we should have been given it as it would have evened out the hearts penalty (i.e in that it wasn't one)

Marginally off. It is possible that the linesmen gave the benefit to the attacker. Doesn't excuse dishonest decisions the other way, considering it is clearly a marginal offside decision.

By the rules of the game then Yes, he was offside.

Very hard to catch in real-time though for the ref/assistants

    He's offside.

But then again, only one person in the world knows the offside rule and he's locked in a cave beneath FIFA HQ in Switzerland, so who knows what the rule is nowadays?

They used to have to be "daylight" between attacker and defender, then that got changed, or did it, maybe, yes, no, who knows?

Offside, onside? Maybe? Probably? Sepp Blatter? Daft *?

    Yes

It's marginal and that's looking at a still picture, near impossible to call during an actual game, I'd say 99% of the time an attacker would get the benefit of the doubt there.

If that had been a Hearts player we would all be shouting for an offside.

is the rule now any part of the body you can score a goal with but it wasn't as clear as the chelsea one against wigan, now that was clearly offside the only one who never seen it was the official with the flag on a white stick

"IF ANY PART OF YOUR BODY THAT CAN SCORE IS OFFSIDE, YOU'RE OFFSIDE"

you can score with your knee therefore he was offside.

He was offside even if it only was 5/6 inches but Black should have been sent off and either we should have had a penalty or they shouldnt have had their penalty.

He is not offside because the "foot" that is "offside" has not touched the ground when the the cross goes away.
