Both his head and knee are offside. That's not a 'bawhair', he's clearly offside. You could see it clearly at full speed on the replays, although it's easy to see why the ref didn't give it.

Fairly certain there would be folk screaming conspiracy if it had been given at the other end.

with a still picture and slow mo replays, yeah off side but linesman does not have that and the rule says that attackers should get the benefit of the doubt so if the linesman is unsure the flag should stay down and the goal should stand.

For me when it is that close the benefit of the doubt has to go with the attacker. Linemen do not have action replay hence the benefit of the doubt comes into play. So for me this should be given as onside.

Nobody's disagreeing with that. But it's ridiculous to claim we were cheated when our goal was also illegitimate.

Anybody hear that legend Beattie on sportscene, saying it was never a penalty and he'd have been dissapointed for his team to go out the cup like that. What a guy he is. Out of interest is he a tim?

Beattie trained with Hearts at under 12 level[1] before starting his career as a schoolboy with Rangers the team he supported in his youth[[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed"]Wikipedia:Citation needed - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame]] but, after being released by manager [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dick_Advocaat"]* Advocaat - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame],[2] he joined Celtic.[3

Didn't really have a choice, was blatantly not a penalty. Did you think hooper was 2 yards offside though? I certainly didn't

That picture is about 3 or 4 frames after the ball has been crossed. It's already in the air and moving.

Apparently there has to be daylight between the defender and attacker.

there is no daylight between Hooper and the defender.

Infact if you look across the line in the grass he is practically on.

Why do people keep citing these marginal decisions to try and justify their belief of non bias against Celtic when they are debatable at best and we can actually cite facts to cheating?

It's beyond me, it really is...

There's even less in it than I originally thought having seen that pic. Look at the angle of the dark green line and the line of the players. Swing that round level and there is literally nothing in it when the ball leaves Mulgrews foot.

Not worth comparing this to the penalty incident as it levelling it out, as some people have today.

One is bawhair and the other blatant. Guess which one went against us?
