[Cross Platform] Hitman (2016)

Never had a Hitman game but this looks interesting. Always fancied getting Absolution but never got around to playing it.

 

I just bought Mass Effect 3 on my PS3 yesterday so after that I'll give it a bash.

 

Love the Hitman games, a bit disappointed that this one is going to be episodic right enough.

 

Loved the last one & looking forward to this one.

 

I was really looking forward to but now they've made it episodic rather than one full game they've kinda * it for me. I don't like the idea of having to pay for content in bits over time, so I might just hold out until all the episodes are released. Square Enix is doing this with the new Final Fantasy 7 remake aswell, I don't get the logic behind it to be honest.

 

Blood money is one of my favourite games ever, preferred it to absolution.

 

Why the * are all games either episodic or multiplayer only now? I'm not much of a gamer, punted my ps3 last year, but that would do my * * in.

Are they trying to be innovative or something? Or is it just to rip more cash out of *?

Everything is pish nowadays.

 

It is just a money making thing, it's sad. With the popularity of games like Destiny and soon to be The Division, it is only going to get worse. Destiny was ripped to bits and sold in pieces- but it is fun to play and addictive so people won't abandon it.

I loved all the previous games but I am really worried about this one.

 

They've been okay, only played a couple in the later consoles.

 

Been playing the Hitman series for 14 years now, and I have loved every moment of every game, I can't wait for this to come out

 

Never played a hitman game before, looks like I've miss out. Will probably get this then.

 

Just to let people know, if you're a PS Plus subscriber you can now download and play the beta. The beta is basically a mission called 'The Prologue', which is a flashback mission included in the first episode.

 

Nice one, quite fancy this game.

Has anyone got this yet? Whats it like?

I dodged Far Cry because it had some bad reviews so might pick this up instead.

 

I think the fact it's getting released in Instalments has put me a wee bit should just release the whole game and get it over with

I guess I'll just have to wait till the whole thing is released and buy it then.

 

IO Interactive plans to release all seven Hitman episodes "by the end of summer", with one due to release each month until the season's conclusion later this year.

The developer confirmed its release plans in a series of tweets, suggesting that the final episode could be due to launch in September. The next episode, which introduces a new Italian location, is due to release in April, with the third, Morocco, coming in May. Future locations include Thailand, Japan and the USA.

Each episode will cost £7.99 to players who purchase the Intro Pack or available at no additional cost to owners of the Full Experience. A disc release containing all seven episodes is due to release in January 2017.

 

That sounds like something I'd enjoy actually. I know they are different games but I liked how the walking dead released an episode a month. £7.99 per episode gives you the option to buy one a month without the lump payment of £50 straight away for a brand new game.

I'll buy the first episode when I come back from work next week and see what its like.
