This is no doubt a PR stunt by his agent to get interest. This goes against how we have been conducting our transfers. Media getting nothing from us so his quotes have probably been "adjusted" to suit a headline. He is no doubt a talent but this isn't really a position we need to strengthen.

He looks good so hopefully it is true. Although if it was true I feel like it would be stupid of him to make those comments before any deal is done.

I'm sure someone suggested him recently. Probably Rosko.

Randomly signed him for Celtic on manager mode on Fifa so bit weird to see us being linked... hopefully Donnarumma and dani alves are next then.

He turned out to be * and couldnt push Sinclair out of the team so I'd say nah to this signing.

He looks an impressive young player, no doubt about it.

I'm a bit sceptical about this though, can't help it.

    Well we need a winger.

Rodgers also spoke about exploiting the African market (ok he is playing I'm Belgium but you know what I mean)

    Interesting.

Apparently this player belong to an academy. The director of the academy has quashed Celtics interest and said he's not for sale if it's legitimate information.

Aye the rags in Scotland have 'suddenly' picked up on this.

Sun are saying we bid over £1m but it has been knocked back.

Their director used to work for Real Madrid so even Lawwell may have his work cut out.

From what I'm told, Henry Onyekuru, linked with Celtic, is owned by the Qatar Aspire Academy and I don't think they're ready to sell him yet Alex OHenley just tweeted this.

He just takes things from the press mate, the info is readily available.

They've been owned sine 2012. Would also suggest they don't need the money.

This boy looks good as well.

Apparently our former scout Neil McGuiness works for Aspire.

Maybe he alerted us. He has an excellent rep.

That African Football website spouts bullshit on the norm. Taking this one with a grain of salt.

CELTIC had a bid for KAS Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru turned down last week.

The Hoops’ bid is understood to have been over £1million but wasn’t enough to tempt the Belgians to do business.

The 19-year-old Nigerian is in big demand across Europe thanks to 10 goals and six assists for the Jupiler League new boys this season.

The youngster’s explosive pace, skill and eye for goal has got the likes of RB Leipzig, Hoffenheim, CSKA Moscow and Fenerbahce on his trail.

But Celts could yet go in with another bid before the end of the January transfer window.

Eupen are owned by the Qatari-owned youth set-up Aspire who use the club to bring through players from outwith Europe in the hope of selling them on for huge profits.

Aspire director general Ivan Bravo is believed to prefer holding out till the summer before cashing in on his exciting young prospect.

But Onyekuru has spoken of Celtic’s interest and is keen on a switch.

He said: “A lot of teams have shown interest to sign me – from France, Germany and Turkey.

“Celtic are interested in me and they have tabled an official bid for me.

“There are discussions between the clubs and my agent.

“I believe everything will be sorted out soon.”
