    SCUM

minutes applause for Billy, couple of them sheepishly trying to hold up their Butchers Aprons instead of clapping then starting to sing their stupid Sesame Street h.e.a blah blah blah song towards the end of the minute

Worse than the Huns this mob

*. Credit to Hibs who booed their lack of respect

Is anyone surprised? In saying that, I would be of the opinion that there shouldn't have been a minute's silence there.

It was a minute’s applause and some of them couldn’t even manage that, standing with their arms folded

And why, if it was a silence, would you not want one?

    The McNeill family requested applause...

I think in most cases the applause is better than a silence.. the celebrating of someone achievements outweighs the mourning of their death for me ...

    We’ve all done that privately.

Also... the applause cuts down the impact of numpties trying to disrupt and those (you know who they are) who look for the slightest sign of ‘non-compliance’ and use it as ammunition.

The Hertz arm-folded ones are as much human filth as the iBrokes scum.

We will destroy them in 4 weeks time.

In a week where a manager accused another team of not trying against us, I only think it’s fair to ask why that * * Levein hasn’t been called out on his teams disgraceful record against Sevco?

The minute's applause only came in because they couldn't guarantee silence, but either way, there is too many of them in football. It undermines their meaning. I have had this debate elsewhere on here before, but my feeling is these minutes, be it silence or applause, should be incredibly rare. Celtic having one for 'Cesar' is poignant, everybody else having one out of a sense of duty is unnecessary.

Scummy * of a team like their Glasgow cousins! I was there at Hampden in April 2005 when the pope died and the chanted and booed all the way through the minutes silence that’s how Scotland then introduced minutes applause!

I agree with this and it should be applause, a few years ago I remember Sevco having a minutes silence every other week. If a club wants to show respect then it should be a minutes applause. When a minutes silence is broken by one idiot the whole club and it’s support gets slaughtered. That then allows the hypocrites of the planet to get upset and start mud slinging.

There was an occasion at The Debt Star where it was the silence for Jim Baxter (I vaguely recall) and it went on for about a minute and a half and it was impeccably observed by Celtic fans and you just knew they were desperate for it to be broken.

Having a minutes silence to try to catch out your opponents/rivals is the ultimate insult and disrespect to the person you are supposedly pausing to remember.

I am not keen on either, to be honest, but it does all feel like an opportunity for petty point scoring. As Celtic fans, we all wanted to give one of the most iconic and legendary people in our history a proper send off, but Hibs and Hearts just want to get on with their derby.

If Hearts showed this much commitment against Sevco they may well have collected a point or two from them.

If they had a better manager they might have! They have the nucleus of a decent team.

When their beloved * queen dies what will they want from us a silence or an applause? Cos they'll get neither.

This is exactly why they should be rare. Why the * were they having a minute's silence for that * at Hampden? Did he play for Scotland in between running a paedo ring?
