Serious surgery required before we get humiliated in the group stages

Ok Janko was poor but he had company on that front, the whole team were a shadow
from the first game we never held the ball and take the pressure off our defence it was attack after attack young Janko was put through the wringer all night so don't put all the blame on him for the poor performance of the whole team, give the boy a break.

    We'll be fine.

Depends on the draw. If you get barca or madrid, is it a humiliation when you get pumped by 5 goals? Not really those teams are expected to do that tbh.
Although personally I believe we will be completely fine.

As for serious surgery? A couple choice additions to solidify midfield and cover the defence and we're fine, no major surgery.

Someone should forward this to Celtic, unless they already seen it.
    But to be safe?

Yeah, Gordon did shout for it.
And Craid rightfully said "Janko barged into me" and "These things happen", Brown also standing up for his keeper here....good stuff

I spoke about this the other night. The reason his pass stats are so high is because he passed back the way all night. He done absolutely nothing in a forward sense.

To be fair, there wasn't anyone in the team except Sinclair that did. I didn't mind Janko passing backwards, because any possession was good for us on Tuesday. It was more his defensive game in general that was cause for concern.

It's brain surgery that is needed with this team. They need to build their confidence up for away games. They are conditioned to think it's going to be tough and that's their mindset when they go in. This is why a pretty decent team looks more than average when they go away. One or two decent results away and it will pick up. Brendan Rodgers knows this and I hope he will bring in a few more leaders for the others to take confidence from.

Watched the highlights and some the game over again, Janko was out his depth and it was after he got that yellow card he was scared to tackle and it was just downhill from there.
We put 3 in the middle who did little on the ball and off the ball Apoel played diagonals over the full backs with because we were so narrow. Janko and Tierney struggled to defend against the balls until we went 5 at the back. McGregor was invisible and Forrest left Janko isolated constantly in the 1st half and did nothing on the ball. Toure and Sinclair the clear stand outs, with Lustig proving he can play centre half.

It's a lesson that has to be learned from, 5 at the back made everything a lot calmer throughout the team and defended much better. On nights like that you really need more than 1 out ball (Sinclair) which is why Dembele may be our man for tough away games with his strength, pace and skill.

Can't believe that after match interview with broon n Gordon. Both saying a great team performance..?? * awful. As bad as we've seen last couple of years. Was absolutely delighted when the final whistle went. Very fortunate to make it so to say it was a great team performance doesn't stack up.
