I used to train at the Bellahouston sports centre, the old gym they used to have was excellent we did power-lifting,bench press, dumbell flys etc, fav exercise was the Pullover with a dumbell or olympic bar it helped create the V shape for the lats.

I'm actually going down today to get my memebership, not been there in like 2 years. I used to go to the campus gym but that was a year ago. Really need to get back into it.
Any tips on whats best for wieght training? Looking to tone up the excess (quite a bit of) cushioning and bulk up.

just try cut out all unnecessary snacks mate.

See to be honest but you need to be active if you're going to lose weight, if you decrease too much food you'll start feeling ill. If you've got a bad leg then buy a rowing machine or something?

swim. no matter how bad your leg, if your able to walk then you can swim and it wont hurt. guarantee if you swim for 1-2 hours 2-3 times a week then after 2-3 months youl feel like a new man.

Theres a pure gym just opened in aberdeen as well, they are really advertising it but with no luck, the aberdeen sports village gym frankly has no better, so i don't know what the one in glasgow is like, but certainly the one in aberdeen is not popular, for students at least.

2 sets of dumbells ranging from 2kg to 40kg, every 2kg. 2 ez bars. one small-ish barbell. one smith machine. two bench press/squat racks with the full 20kg bar. and about 10 benches. plus a whole load of fixed resistance machines too.
