Think he’ll do well here. £3m is a hefty fee if it’s true though...

The issue for me is, if Kilmarnock have a player that can do a job for us (maybe even be first choice), in a position that needs strengthening, why does it take us until the end of August to get it done? :43:

Anyone else get the feeling that when we flog this guy to an EPL team for £12m in 2 years we'll be hearing about how folk like this aren't happy that we can't hold onto players like this... :56:

"You're intelligent and multilingual. Be embarrassed!"

    No.

@\o/ has already tried that this week.

I don’t get the fascination in Meling my sisters boyfriend is Norwegian he’s a Valerenga fan said Meling is overrated. Hence most of the interest in him from the MLS.

We got what we deserved from our lack of due diligence on Virgo.

If we had checked our horoscopes that day we would've known that bad luck is imminent when Saturn moves closer to the moon.

With regards to the fee, I think Celtic will now have to pay the premium for any player in the SPFL due to the McGinn debacle and consequent fall out. Clubs know our support won’t tolerate missing out on another homegrown talent due to penny pinching.

On the player himself, I think he’ll do well. He’s very steady and that’s what our defence needs just now. He also knows the league and will understand the rivalry and the expectations.

Celtic will have to pay the "premium" anyway if they want a player, because they have set a precedent for the other clubs by offering the asking price for Turnbull at the start of the season.

So other clubs will quite rightfully ask for decent coin for their players.

Yup, we had to pay the asking price for Turnbull because the support won’t accept the penny pinching. The board know we missed out on massively on McGinn, not just as a player, but resale value which is their metric.

Not sold on him at all tbh.

Was always going to be near impossible to replace someone like Tierney but thought we may have looked a bit further afield.

Hope he can make the step up.

    McGinn is what is it.

We tried to play the game with our offer for him, ended up getting an offer accepted at whatever point, but yer man McGinn (I suspect) would have signed for Villa regardless.

    * it.

This is the only thing mate, to REPLACE Tierney you'd need to find a player of equal/better quality - we cannot afford that.

Boli is our new LB, and we need someone to challenge him, if it's Taylor, then so be it. Boli needs support and time.

I’d like to think Taylor will be the new LB and Boli is backup.

I think it will be an equal share and see who can impress the most.
