It is exploitative but it is also a case of “supply and demand”.

The large amounts of people who don’t go to work everyday are catered for with this type of show, clearly.

All these reality shows need looked at. Jeremy Kyle obviously ends up with people who clearly aren't mentally stable, but Love Island picks fragile emotional wrecks for drama. They pick a bunch of vain fame hungry people who are desperate for fame and attention.

Every time I watched an episode it's clear how messed up many of the people are. They are all deeply upset and get into a mess when they get dumped after a few days.

I read they've had two suicides from previous series and there was others claiming they had no support and suffered depression after the show.

I think a lot of people fail to notice the damage this show does to the contestants as they don't have the appearance of Kyle's guests.

I remember it was on in the background one day and this lassie was talking like she’d suffered the worst kind of abuse ever from her step dad when younger.

Sitting there hating this * when he’s coming onto the stage, even Jeremy and the crowd thought he was a paedo.

It turned out he made her watch Freddie Krueger when she was 8.

    Absolute brilliant news

The way he used to challenge any handy looking guy that came on his show while he hid behind his two 7ft bouncers so the guy didnt knock him the * out was breath taking.

"I bet you think your a real big man dont you?...... well Im not afraid of you.....you are scum...." etc etc etc and the crowd starts clapping

    An inspiration of a man.

Hope your no planning on going out for a pint Jeremy - like ever again in your life. Cause your two big bouncers wont be with you and you will have a que of * wanting to punch your arrogant stupid face in.

Used to watch it often with my missus. Sad to see it gone because at the end of the day if you don't like it don't watch it. Bunch a whiney, Mary Whitehouse * complaining about the show. There's like a thousand other channels those who don't like it could watch instead.

Got a bit of a shock when the couple fae Paisley appeared on it and I know the *. Didn't know his fugly burd though.

I am not having the 'don't watch it' stuff. This was a show that deliberately exploited the most vulnerable in society in the vilest way possible, not Coronation Street. I didn't like it, I didn't watch it, but I despised that it contributed to the demonisation of the most vulnerable people in Britain. It was part of the continuous and contemptuous reel of 'poverty *' programmes that laugh at society's most desperate. Broadcasters have a social responsibility, that was completely ignored by those that made this show.
