    * right! We all know the need for experience, old heads at a club. We've got The likes of Commons, Chico and obv Broony. But Sammy should still be here too, could generally be relied upon to show for a big game and has always had talent, even if he could be inconsistent, he would still be just as important for us right now than any of the other older players, he's a brilliant character and he clearly loves the club. I'd welcome him back with open arms. :50:

    Lots of our supporters called for big Sammy's head and thought the club were right to get him of the wage bill. This was the start of things to come. Replacing our big name players and high earners with unknown quantity of players who are the also rans of Europe. We have not recovered in our signing policy bar maybe 2 players out of a squad full. This new system is not bearing fruit. And big Sammy should still be here.

    Apparently he had some back issues, I read that in one article from November in which he was linked with NY Cosmos (he was training with them for a while). Actually his summer move to Sampdoria was canceled because he failed his medical.

    I find it odd that he's not still in Europe given his age and quality, but it's well known that it's not about money for Sammy.

    Update is he'll be signing within the next 10 days for Melb City:50:
    He has a lot of family still in Melb & we have the largest Greek community outside of Greece so could see this happening.
    Local CSC's will all be buying City memberships if this come through.
