Well, a wee bit of rain has put Green Day off and they've cancelled the gig tonight.

    Absolute * joke.

Read it was because the stage was sinking, so will prob have been a health and safety issue.

That's the problem with holding outdoor events in Scotland in Summer, they're almost guaranteed to get rained off or waterlogged.

I don't think a single gig or festival I've been at has ever been rained off. It doesn't even rain that often either.

I'd tend to agree although I've only been to a few Foo fighters at Murrayfield 2 years ago and Bruce Springsteen last year. Whay happened today is the price reason it took me 20 odd years to bother with outdoor gigs.

Disappointed that Rancids sound engineer has had to be the one to clear things up instead of half truths from the organisers.

Where do we stand on lost income from work and hotels being booked?

They'll have an insurance policy that covers for bad weather conditions causing the event to be called off for safety reasons. They won't be covered for their lack or planning and making a total * up of it. The tweet about not being ready was later removed. This could get dodgy.

You're only entitled to a refund of your ticket. They don't have to compensate you for anything else. Some ticket sellers don't even refund all the extortionate selling fees.

    * knows why they had it round that end of the park instead of where the gigs usually are, the bit they usually do them has been prepared for a stage and is much more suitable for a large gig.

Green Day have said the stage was deemed unfit. Nothing about the weather being at fault.

There's a video of all the people being employed being sent home. They have been told to claim for travel expenses only. That's pretty *.

Just got a email about Phil Collins coming to the Hydro. I thought I wouldn't mind going along to see him until I seen the prices!!!

£76 for levels 3 seats and £136 for level zero and the better level 2 seats.

See there's a rumour Arctic Monkeys will play a set after Kasabian on TRNMST, don't know how much truth there is in it

Kasabian will play until the curfew. There won't be anytime afterwards for another band.

There won't be the budget for paying for them either.
