    Well that was a waste of time. Basically a a 40 minute long advert for 4K TV's


    The PS4 Pro is $399 (so about £349 I think?) and literally looks like a double-decker PS4 :smiley-laughing002:


    As interesting as Mass Effect looks, I wish they would show something a bit more substantial.

    No UHD blu ray player built in? Is there a release date? Really really wanted to get into UHD blu rays :/

    Edit: Nvm release date is November 10

    Yes this does appear to be the case. Massive fail for me, I would of got it otherwise as 4k blu ray players on there own are 350-600 at the moment. I know lots of people who bought PS3s way back simply because they where blu ray players aswell. It's almost like they dont want to sell 4k tvs :smiley-laughing002:

    Glad to hear I didn't get in to the ps4 too late then. Bought one start of July and was worried a little. Bit seems fine.

    Did anyone play the Steep open beta? It's a Ubiosft game that's coming out next month, sort of an open world game set in the Alps. You can explore the mountains via skiing, wingsuits, snowboarding and paragliding. It's mainly an online game so you can race others etc.

    Played a bit of it and for those into that sort of thing, it's not bad. Could be doing with a central hub area to just relax and trade.

    The PS4 Slim is the new standard model for the PS4 going forward. As far as I'm aware it's literally just a thinner PS4.


    A PS4 Pro is a bigger and more powerful PS4 - a mid generation upgrade basically. There's pretty much two main draws:

    Some games can now be played in 4K (if the developers offer that option) and you should be getting a better frame rate for games at 1080p. ​

    It improves the performance of the PSVR (Sony's virtual reality headset). From what I've read online, there's a noticeable improvement in the quality of VR when using it with a PS4 Pro.​

    Yes and no.

    You can't play PS2 discs on it but you can buy select PS2 games on the PS Store to play on PS4 with an upscaled screen size and trophy support
